    Abstract: The present invention relates to an exhaust closure system (10) for a cooking oven. Said exhaust closure system (10) is inter-connectable or interconnected between a top wall (30) of an oven cavity (40) and an exhaust channel. The exhaust closure system (10) comprises a lower casing (12) attachable or attached on the top wall (30) of the oven cavity (40) and including at least one inlet opening (22) in its bottom side. The exhaust closure system (10) comprises an upper casing (14) connectable or connected to the exhaust channel and including at least one outlet opening (24) in its top side. The lower casing (12) and the upper casing (14) are permanently or detachably jointed and form a housing of the exhaust closure system (10). A stationary plate (16) and a sliding plate (18) are arranged inside the housing and between the inlet opening (22) and the outlet opening (24). The stationary plate (16) and the sliding plate (18) lie against each other and include at least one opening (26, 28) in each case.

    Abstract: A wood stove damper assembly includes a damper plate, a through shaft, and a cross shaft. The damper plate includes a plurality of risers and a plurality of through shaft guides. The through shaft includes a bore and the cross shaft is configured to engage the bore and the risers. The cross shaft is inserted through the bore in the through shaft such that the cross shaft engages the risers when installed. The damper assembly also includes a fastener applied to the end of the through shaft. When installed in a chimney pipe, the fastener is tightened to pull the through shaft, which pulls the cross shaft against the risers, which pulls the edge of the damper plate against the interior of the chimney pipe to hold the damper plate in any position. Methods for manufacturing and installing a damper assembly are also disclosed.

The amplifiers are structured such than a pole in the frequency response curve of the high-frequency amplifier cancels a zero in the frequency response curve of the precision amplifier, thereby producing a single pole roll off response curve for the composite amplifier. In the preferred embodiment the high-frequency and precision amplifiers are formed on a single chip and the pole-zero match is therefore maintained at all conditions of temperature and other variables.

The first detent set is offset angularly relative to the second detent set and a valve element is provided having a circular central portion proportioned to fit within the duct section. Diametrically opposed first and second shoulders project from the periphery of the disc and aligned first and second stub axles are formed from the material of the disc and depend from the respective first and second shoulders. These shoulders are engaged with the respective first and second sets of detents such that in any one selected angular position of the valve element, the element is located by engagement of one of the shoulders in one of the detents of the detent sets.

    Abstract: A flexible disk damper which is capable of providing tight seals for a large diameter opening over a wide range of temperatures. Disks are made sufficiently flexible to compensate for inherent warpage in the damper seat by using a steel with a higher yield strength. Additionally, a varying cross-sectional thickness of the flexible disk is provided to ensure that unit stress is not exceeded along any point of the radius of the flexible disk for the deformation required to provide a tight seal. A pneumatic cylinder is utilized to provide a constant pressure to the flexible disks. A damper seat is fabricated from a cut plate or flat bar which is formed in an annulus. A deflection cone is utilized to deflect flue gases. The flexible disk is coupled together by bolts which are disposed in holes sufficiently large to allow independent movement of the disks to maximize deflection.

    Abstract: A thermal damper assembly mounted to substantially close a flue at room temperature is equipped with thermally responsive coils to move the damper to an open position in response to heat generated by combustion. To allow commencement of combustion the damper assembly is equipped with latch means to position the damper open in preparation for combustion, said latch means responding automatically to an adequate advance of said damper toward its fully open position to disable its own latching capability whereby said coils are permitted to substantially fully close the damper assembly without further attention to the latch means, which serves only to releasably position the damper assembly for commencement of combustion. Also illustrated in this application are various position control members for predetermining fully open and substantially fully closed damper positions. Also illustrated in this application are inboard and outboard mountings for the thermally responsive coils.
