  • Patent number: 9333472
Abstract: A warming container 10 includes a mixing bowl and a heating cradle configured to receive the mixing bowl. The warming container 10 also includes a shell having an inner facing surface and which is coupled to a bottom edge of the heating cradle at a seat. The seat is configured to receive a base of the mixing bowl. A cavity is defined between the heating cradle and the shell and a conductive heating structure is disposed within the cavity. The conductive heating structure includes a plurality of conductive longitudinal flanges. A wire heating element is disposed about the plurality of conductive longitudinal flanges, wherein the wire heating element is disposed about the conductive heating structure in a sinusoidal configuration. The wire heating element is in thermal communication with the heating cradle via the conductive longitudinal flanges.

  • Patent number: 8997733
Abstract: A kettle includes a water receiving chamber; a water heating chamber; and a water transfer siphon. The water transfer siphon has a siphon inlet aperture in communication with the water receiving chamber, and a siphon outlet aperture in communication with the water heating chamber. The water transfer siphon is preventable from priming with water from the water receiving chamber through a first rotation of the kettle to increase an elevation of a siphon crest of the water transfer siphon relative to a water level within the water receiving chamber, the first rotation occurring in a first direction.

  • Publication number: 20040154614
Abstract: A steam generator device has a first (20) and a second chamber (21), and walls (15) mutually isolating the two chambers. Reagents which react together to generate steam when in mutual contact are mutually separated by a barrier (16), and disposed in the first chamber. An opening member (70) forms a first opening between the chambers and a second opening through the barrier. Hence the reagents come into contact via said second opening, the reagents react thereby generating steam, and the steam flows through the first opening into the second chamber.

  • Patent number: 6012447
Abstract: A heated kettle for melting and mixing a thermoplastic resin into a homogeneous mixture has a helically-formed agitator which rotates about a central shaft in close proximity to the internal wall of the kettle. Fixed to the shaft at approximately the center of the kettle is a cluster of radially extending paddles. The paddles and agitator have opposite pitch when the agitator and paddles are rotated, the resin circulates along the wall of the kettle and thence through a central region of the kettle. The circulation action serves to thoroughly melt and mix the resin into a homogeneous liquid mass.

  • Patent number: 5174273
Abstract: This invention relates to a cooking device which cooks food evenly without making the food get out of shape, and also keeps the cooked food hot. The device has a hot water tank having a bottom inner tank provided in the bottom thereof and a bottom outer tank for surrounding the bottom inner tank through a flue. A combustion chamber is provided under the hot water tank. A guide partition plate is arranged at a gradient in the hot water tank and has a passage for passing hot water upward to its upstream side. A circulating unit is formed at a downstream side. A partition unit collects the hot water rising from the bottom of the hot water tank to guide the hot water to the passage side. A partition plate has a through hole and is provided to partition the hot water tank above the guide partition plate into a boiling chamber, located above the passage, and a heat insulation chamber, located above the partition unit.

  • Patent number: 5174274
Abstract: This invention relates to a defreezing device for efficiently heating, by a hot water bath, a large quantity of foods to be heated such as frozen foods. This defreezing device includes a hot water bath whose upper part is capped with a cover, a combustion chamber for heating the hot water bath, a partition disposed inside the hot water bath and having a plurality of jet ports disposed in such a manner as to be capable of collecting heated and ascending hot water and bubble streams and jetting them and upward and a plurality of partition cylinders disposed above the jet ports of the partition, one for each port, in such a manner as to be capable of guiding upward the jet stream from each of the jet ports, thus making it possible to heat by the jet stream the foods put into each partition cylinder.
