Abstract: A portable food and utensil storage device includes a box like base component having a plurality of wheels attached to its bottom surface for rolling the device along a supporting surface. The interior of the base component includes a plurality of segregated compartments each configured and designed to retain hot or cold food items as well as various accessory items therein. The base component includes an opening adjacent its bottom surface in communication with an interior chamber for slidably receiving a gas fueled grill assembly. The top end of the base component is selectively coverable with a lid that pivotably engages the top edge of its rear wall. The inwardly facing side of the lid includes a plurality of bands and loops for retaining silverware, cups and similar items thereon.

Abstract: A swing-out supporting arrangement (7) primarily intended for a wall-mounted oven (1) of domestic type comprises a bottom plate (6) supported by link arms (9, 10), said bottom plate (6) and an insert (8), possibly associated with said bottom plate, being retractable from the oven (1) by a swing-out movement without the use of any front door. The bottom plate (6) with the insert (8) can be moved between a first position inside the oven and a second swing-out position below and in front of the over front wall (2). Preferably, the swing-out movement is performed by means of an electric motor which is rotatable between two end positions. The principle of invention can also be used for a ceiling plate (4) supported by link arms, said plate being swingingly displaced in a corresponding lifting movement from an oven positioned at a low level.

Abstract: A base for a built-in oven wherein the oven is configured to be received into a cabinet cavity and the combined height of the base and oven equals the height of the cabinet cavity. The base comprises a first elongated support runner and a second elongated support runner. The support runners are positioned in a substantially parallel orientation with respect to each. A cross brace member extends between the support runners and has a first end connected to the first support runner and has a second end connected to the second support runner. A face plate assembly is attached to the front ends of the support runners. The face plate assembly includes a rigid panel connected to the front end of the first and second support runners, a frame disposed about the periphery of the rigid panel, and a thin panel secured by the frame adjacent the rigid panel.

Abstract: An outdoor grill is provided that has a base which houses an interior firebox and a cooking surface located above the firebox. The base has a grill top pivotally coupled thereto above the cooking surface. The grill top has an inner wall mounted within its interior which extends upwardly and rearwardly. The grill top has a rear wall that has a vent which is located below the intersection of the inner wall and the rear wall. Hot air rising from the firebox is directed rearwardly and upwardly by the inner wall and exits the grill top through the vent. The top surface of the grill top is thus insulated from the hot air by the inner wall and the vent. A second vent may be provided in the front wall of the grill top, which allows fresh air to flow rearwardly and upwardly above the inner wall. The air is allowed to exit the grill top through a chimney formed in the grill top near the rear of the top.

Abstract: An all-metal, hand-portable, light-weight heating device serves as a self-contained oven, as a stove, or as a space heater. The box-like device comprises hollow sheet-metal back, side and top walls and door. A fully enclosed heater chamber beneath the oven enclosure includes a removable, slide-in top closure plate, which channels hot air to the interior of the hollow walls when used as an oven or space heater; removal of the closure plate enables use of the device as a stove. A second embodiment has a foldable stove top hinged to the side of the device. The preferred material is sheet aluminum. A portable gas bottle can be used as the fuel supply. Excess secondary air is available, induced by the operation of the gas burner. This induced flow of cool air creates a high thermal gradient between the inner and the outer heated wall surfaces, so that the outer surfaces of the device operate at a safe, non-searing temperature.

Abstract: A fold-away gas appliance for a recreational vehicle having a sidewall and an opening therein for storing the appliance. The appliance comprises a cooking unit carried on a platform which is disposed for movement between exposed and storage positions. When in the storage position, the platform is substantially flush with the sidewall of the recreational vehicle and, when in the exposed position, the platform extends substantially perpendicular to the sidewall. The cooking unit includes a gas burner in fluid communication with a gas supply through a gas supply line. A cut-off valve disposed in the gas supply line is adapted for movement between open and closed positions to establish and cut off the flow of gas to the burner. An actuator for moving the cut-off valve between open and closed positions is slidably attached to the cooking unit and generally extends between the cooking unit and the opening in the sidewall of the recreational vehicle.

Abstract: The invention provides a protector cover suitable for the head of a stove which contains the controls and typically a glass panel, the protective cover being formed of a flexible substantially non-flamable material with a front panel, a rear panel, a top panel between the front and rear panels, a pair of opposed side panels, and with the front panel being moveable upwardly to permit access to controls on the front of the stove head. The cover is designed to protect the front of the stove during cooking operations with the front panel being moveable to provide access to the controls.

Abstract: A gas grill assembly comprising a housing, a grill, and a retractor arm assembly. The housing encloses the assembly and is permanently mountable in the wall of a recreation vehicle. The retractor arm assembly supports the grill and is connected between the housing and the grill such that the grill can be extended from the housing for use. The grill is advantageously mounted to the retractor arm assembly by means of a post such that, in this extended position, the grill can rotate approximately 180 degrees in either direction about a vertical axis. The retractor arm assembly is operably coupled to the main gas supply valve such that the valve is rotated to an open position as the grill is pulled out of the housing for use. Conversely, when the grill is pushed back into the housing, the movement of the retractor arm assembly rotates the gas supply valve to a closed position, thereby automatically shutting off the supply of gas to the grill.

Abstract: A self-contained cooker and grill having quadrilateral doors with a separate cooking grate attached to each door. Closure of all doors provide a conventional barbecue type cooker or smoker with a full sized grate and a common area for support of solid fuels. The multiple door cooker allows the operator to vary cooking times and heating of four different cooking surfaces. Each door can be opened independently allowing the operator to access the immediate cooking surface without disrupting the remaining cooking surfaces. An upper grate is provided in a fixed, movable, or rotational arangement for adaptation to various cooking requirement.

Abstract: A barbecue grill assembly is disclosed including a bowl and domed, free-standing lid mating with each other to form a three-dimensional oval in combination, a support assembly being provided for the bowl with the brackets mounted on a portion of the barbecue grill assembly in spaced apart relation less than a corresponding dimension of the lid with extended surfaces and stops for causing the lid to move horizontally along the extended bracket surfaces and then rotate into a generally vertical position in cradled engagement with the brackets, an ash collector unit including vent means being suspended beneath a central portion of the bowl.

Abstract: An arrangement for shifting a piece of furniture through an opening in a vertical partition, such as a wall of a vehicle includes a linkage system which maintains the orientation of the piece of furniture as it is moved between two extreme positions, wherein one of the positions is offset to be lower than the other position. When incorporated in a vehicle, the lateral offset between the two extreme positions is approximately equal to the height of the floor of the vehicle above a ground surface so that if the piece of furniture is a kitchen unit, such as a stove, its working surfaces will be at the same height for use inside the vehicle as when used in the outer position outside the vehicle.

Abstract: A portable barbeque grill cart is disclosed having a base portion, two opposing end portions, and optional shelf portions. The two end portions are fabricated having two or more slip sleeve connectors adapted for telescopic interconnection of the base portion of the two end portions, thereby making assembly of the cart simple and expedient. The portable barbeque grill cart has no small loose pieces which can be lost or misplaced during shipment or assembly.

Abstract: A sheet metal constructed modular pack kitchen including utility tables, sinks and cabinetry, along with an airtight wood stove and flue-mounted oven. When disassembled, the components self-store in nested relation within one another. The stove includes an airtight non-warping cook top, hollow double bottom, hinged hot water tank and supports a double-walled, damper-controlled oven and warming shelf. Slip-mounted, interlocking cook top and flue/oven sections provide a knock-down, airtight construction.

Abstract: The device for mounting a cooking apparatus of the present invention on a wall and the like in a kitchen comprises a wall fixing member to be fixedly mounted on the wall and provided with reinforcing members projecting forward; a supporting member rotatable up-and downwardly and provided with grooves in which the legs of the cooking apparatus are to be put; and a stopper member for preventing the legs of the cooking apparatus from coming off the grooves of the supporting member in case that the cooking apparatus is supported by said supporting member. Accordingly, the cooking apparatus can be easily mounted on the wall and the like in the kitchen without any extra members to be mounted on the cooking apparatus, so that a cooking apparatus of such a type originally used by being placed on a cooking counter and the like can be easily mounted on a wall in a kitchen.

Abstract: A portable gas heater particularly useful for heating foodstuffs under all-weather conditions comprises a housing having a first section defining a gas burner compartment, and a second section defining a gas container compartment, the latter section including a pair of side walls hingedly mounted to a closed position closing the container compartment, or to an open position opening the container compartment and providing a stable support for the gas heater. The gas burner further includes a burner plate connected to the gas burner nozzle by means of a plurality of telescoping tubes to enable the burner plate to be positioned either at the lower end or the upper end of the gas burner compartment for accommodating different types of vessels.

Abstract: An apparatus for cooking food outdoors has features that allow it to be folded compactly and allow it to be permanently mounted to the owner's home. The cooking apparatus includes a housing adapted to be mounted to the wall of the building. The housing has a front opening and pivotally carries a tray. The tray has a grill and an energy source for cooking. The tray is foldable into the housing for storage. A grease container is located in the bottom of the tray. The grease container has a sloping top for catching grease, and also for containing the grease when the tray is tilted into the vertical storage position. A safety lock device prevents the tray from being moved from the cooking position to the storage position when the temperature in the tray is above a selected minimum, and also when the energy source is turned on. The apparatus includes folding doors that fold into a configuration for open cooking, a configuration for smoking, and also into a flat position for storage.

Abstract: A pivotally mounted, stowable galley which may include a sink, a stove, storage and work areas, the galley having a "down" storage position flush with a vertical surface to which it is attached and an "up" operational position substantially perpendicular to the vertical surface. The galley includes an elongated but relatively thin (in height) rectangular box which houses a sink, a stove (if desired), and storage areas and a double hinged counter top which serves as the galley box closure or lid. The galley is mountable on a boat gunnel overhang and vertical or horizontal wall surfaces and is intended for use in confined areas where space is at a premium, such as in boats, recreational vehicles and the like. When not in use, the galley pivots downwardly increasing available space and occupying very little space when stowed. When in use, complete galley facilities are provided including a sink, a stove, storage areas and adequate counter space.

Abstract: A foldable picnic table is provided having two, similar, table top portions hinged together for folding into a position in which their undersides face each other and are parallel and spaced apart. The table has legs which fold into the space between the folded top portions. The undersides of the top portions are provided with retaining means such as clips which hold various items in place, particularly a metal grill used for cooking. Other items may be stored between the undersurfaces of the table top portions, when folded. The retaining means for the grill may be partly carried by a member foldable with the legs, so that this folds onto the grill and holds this firmly in place when the table is folded.
