  • Patent number: 11807147
Abstract: An accessory mounting arrangement is provided for vehicles wherein a removable accessory is mounted to the vehicle via a projecting arm which is slidably received within a tubular element, attached to the chassis and floor structure of the vehicle along a vehicle side, and abutting a structural wall which limits sliding motion of the projecting arm. Preferably, the tubular element is formed as a conventionally sized hitch receiver, and the projecting arm is telescopically received in the tubular element at one end of the arm, while the other end of the arm includes a vertical adjustment structure which supports a platform for positively locating and supporting devices for supplemental function, such as a bar-b-que grill. Multiple tubular elements can be so mounted along the side of the vehicle, so as to provide multiple alternative and cooperative accessory ports, and removable covers are provided for aesthetic benefits when a given port is not in use.

  • Patent number: 11525546
Abstract: The invention relates generally to natural gas plumbing systems. More specifically, the present invention relates to a plumbing system that is preassembled to a large extent at a manufacturing site prior to shipping to the site of installation. The pre-assembled plumbing system may be used to convey gas to, for example, a fire pit, outdoor gas grill, fire bowl, gas lighting, and fire tables. The pre-assembled plumbing system may be easily installed and may include a flexible gas pipe, a transition riser, and a lead-in assembly. Further, the lead-in assembly may include a swivel joint configured to provide 360 degrees of multi-plane range of motion. The plumbing system may be coiled for storage and then transported to a site. Advantageously, the plumbing system is manufactured and sold as a single pre-assembled unit, thereby facilitating the ease and speed with which the plumbing system can be installed.

The notification system can be built into the range or can be in the form of a system that can be retrofitted to an existing range. The system enhances operational safety.

Abstract: An on-demand cooking apparatus for use with a cooking device having a housing, a fuel supply assembly, and a burner assembly mounted in the housing and operatively connected to the fuel supply assembly to emit fuel. An igniter operatively connects to the burner assembly to ignite the fuel into a flame, and an activation assembly operatively connects to the burner assembly, the fuel supply assembly, and the igniter. The activation assembly engages the cooking device when the cooking device is positioned in a first position relative to the burner assembly. The cooking device can be moved for movement of the activation assembly to allow flow of fuel from the fuel supply assembly to the burner assembly, and the activation assembly signals the igniter to ignite the fuel into a flame.

Abstract: A knob safety assembly is operative to selectively restrict depression of a cooking element control knob. The safety assembly includes a blocking plate disposed inside of a bezel assembly. The bezel assembly includes an outer bezel defining one or more angled camming surfaces, and an inner bezel. Rotation of the inner bezel with respect to the outer bezel about a rotational axis slides an ear of the blocking plate along the camming surface to effect movement of the blocking plate along the rotational axis between a raised position, in which the blocking plate restricts depression of a cooking element control knob, to a recessed position, in which the blocking plate facilitates depression of the control knob. The inner bezel is releasably locked from rotating with respect to the outer bezel, and engages the blocking plate to constrain the blocking plate against movement along the rotational axis when locked.

Housed within the valve body is a rotary regulatory body having a first inlet orifice corresponding to a first minimum flow of a first type of gas and a second inlet orifice corresponding to a second minimum flow of a second type of gas. The first and second inlet orifices are angularly displaced so that when the regulatory body assumes a first angular position within the regulatory body the first inlet orifice faces the gas inlet and so that when the regulatory body assumes a second angular position within the regulatory body the second inlet orifice faces the gas inlet. The regulation valve includes first and second sets of cooperating features that are capable of limiting rotation of the regulatory body to the first and second angular positions, respectively.

The control knob unit may be secured to and engaged with an operational shaft on the appliance which controls the flow of gas or power to the appliance. The system may include one or more detectors (or detector modules) that are configured to emit a signal upon an occurrence of the event, such as a fire, which may be an early indication of a developing emergency. The signal may be in the form of an audible alert, such as sound (or sound waves). A data transceiver processing module may receive a plurality of sound waves and analyze the plurality of sound waves for a variation in frequency (or Doppler Effect) to determine if any of the sound waves originate from the one or more detector modules.
