A combustion air delivery system delivers primary and secondary combustion air to the combustion chamber. Primary and secondary combustion air may be delivered at amounts that increase burning efficiency. An amount of secondary combustion air can be controlled by a valve system. A heat transfer device efficiently transfers heat from products of combustion for heating an enclosed space.

Abstract: A number of different sized circular sections are maneuvered and locked to create a fully extended voluminous area, and also a number of adjustable legs are used to support the different sized sections so a fire may be created inside the voluminous area.

The framework assembly has a fireplace firebox, an oven firebox, a smokebox, and a chimney flue disposed therein. Each of the fireplace firebox and the oven firebox is in communication with the smokebox. The smokebox is in communication with the chimney flue. The framework assembly is covered by a refractory heat resistant mortar. The oven firebox is suspended above the fireplace firebox and is configured for baking pizza. The smokebox and the chimney flue are disposed in the framework assembly above both the fireplace firebox and the oven firebox.

An upper grate is supported at the upper end of the middle member for supporting food to be cooked. In a further aspect, a side opening is formed through the wall of the middle member for use for adding burnable material on the lower grate. The four members can be broken down and stacked together in a small volume.

The housing includes a base unit, a surrounding wall unit having a lower part disposed on the base unit, and an upper part, and a cover unit disposed on top of the surrounding wall unit. The surrounding wall unit includes a plurality of upright grating members that cooperate to confine a chamber. Each of the grating members has a pair of upright frame portions. The surrounding wall unit further includes a releasable interlocking unit provided on each adjacent pair of the upright frame portions of the grating members for releasably interconnecting the grating members. One of the grating members is provided with a door panel to permit access into the chamber.

A fire screen assembly is supported between the cover and bottom members and includes a series of individual screen panels that are hinged together. The fireplace has a support structure that supports it off the ground and includes pairs of legs that are attached to the bottom member. The legs may extend either up through the cover and bottom members or alongside the bottom member. These support legs terminate in handle portions. A window is mounted in the front of the cooking vessel to allow direct viewing of the imitation logs and flames and of the underside of the food being cooked. Air inlet and outlets cause convection currents to flow away from the viewing window and out side vents formed by gaps between an oversized hood and the cooking vessel. An air convection system is set up by providing an air inlet below the window and outlet air gaps between the hood and the cooking vessel. A deflector is provided over the viewing window to prevent grease drippings from soiling the window or falling into the air inlet.

The baffle plate wall is positioned between the planar member and the fireplace hood so as to define a combustion chamber and a cooking chamber. The hollow space has an upper opening and a lower opening. The lower opening defining an access mouth adapted to draw the coals in the combustion chamber.

The device has a wall assembly which attaches to the sidewall of the fireplace and maintains a mechanism to raise or lower a grill or other cooking device. Attached to the wall assembly are a series of elements which are pivotably mounted to provide planar translation of a grill or other cooking device.

Abstract: A combustion apparatus for burning wood or coal comprises a cooking enclosure mounted above a combustion chamber enclosure. An upper space of the combustion chamber enclosure contains a combustion chamber having a floor and walls made of refractory material. The combustion chamber is closed all around except for the top. A plurality of primary air holes are provided in the floor of the combustion chamber and a plurality of secondary air holes are provided through the combustion chamber enclosure at the level of the open top of the combustion chamber. An ash pan is mounted for sliding into the combustion chamber enclosure below the combustion chamber to act as a regulator for air entering the combustion chamber enclosure. A cooking plate is pivotally mounted in the cooking enclosure so that it can be lowered into a cooking position over the open top of the combustion chamber.
