  • Patent number: 11617529
Abstract: Apparatus and methods remove a voltage offset from an electrical signal, specifically a biomedical signal. A signal is received at a first operational amplifier and is amplified by a gain. An amplitude of the signal is monitored, by a first pair of diode stages coupled to an output of the first operational amplifier, for the voltage offset. The amplitude of the signal is then attenuated by the first pair of diode stages and a plurality of timing banks. The attenuating includes limiting charging, by the first pair of diode stages, of the plurality of timing banks and setting a time constant based on the charging. The attenuating removes the voltage offset persisting at a threshold for a duration of at least the time constant. Saturation of the signal is limited to a saturation recovery time while the saturated signal is gradually pulled into monitoring range over the saturation recovery time.

  • Patent number: 10796552
Abstract: A system collects and stores data from a source at a high resolution and/or a high data rate (“more detailed data”) and sends a low-resolution and/or downsampled version of the data (“less detailed data”) to a remote server via a wireless network. The server automatically analyzes the less detailed data to detect an anomaly, such as an arrhythmia, earthquake or failure of a structural member. A two-tiered analysis scheme is used, where the first tier is less specific than the second tier. If the first tier analysis detects or suspects the anomaly, the server signals the data collector to send more detailed data that corresponds to a time period associated with the anomaly. The more specific second tier analyses the more detailed data to verify the anomaly. The server may also store the received data and make it available to a user, such as via a graphical or tabular display.

  • Patent number: 9698545
Abstract: A machine case includes a sink-like main portion and opposite deck stations by two ends of said main portion, and a terminal module. Said terminal module includes an insulator defining opposite top and bottom surfaces and a set of contacts retained to the insulator via a first insert molding process and arranged along a transverse direction. Each of said contacts is stamped and bent from sheet metal and unitarily formed with an upper contacting section and a lower contacting section. One of said upper contacting section and said lower contacting section defines an exposed end for originally linking to a contact carrier. The insulator forms a set of recesses originally formed between the contacting sections of neighboring contacts during the first insert molding while successively filled with material by the corresponding deck station in which said terminal module is embedded.

  • Patent number: 9612290
Abstract: Reducing or avoiding noise in measured signals of a tested battery cell(s) in a battery power system is disclosed. A battery monitoring device(s) coupled to a tested battery cell(s) applies test current pulses at a predetermined frequency to place an effective alternating current (AC) load on the tested battery cell(s). The resulting AC voltage signal generated across the tested battery cell(s) is sampled at the frequency of the test current to convert the AC voltage signal to a direct current (DC) voltage signal to be measured to determine the state-of-health of the tested battery cell(s). To avoid or reduce noise in the DC voltage signal, a noise spectrum of noise signals at defined frequencies induced on the tested battery cell(s) is determined. The battery monitoring device sets the frequency of the test current pulse at a determined reduced-noise frequency to avoid noise signals being present in the DC voltage signal.
