Abstract: In some embodiments, a processor-implement method includes receiving a fill completion message including formulation and capsule identifiers from a fill station. The method also includes receiving a registration request including a vaporizer identifier and a compute device or user identifier from a compute device. The registration request is verified, and a registration confirmation message is sent to the compute device. The method also includes receiving a capsule attach event detection message including the capsule identifier, the vaporizer identifier, and at least one of the identifier of the compute device or the identifier of the user. A validity of the capsule attach event detection message is evaluated. If the capsule attach event detection message is valid, an unlock message is sent to the compute device or a vaporizer, and if the capsule attach event detection message is valid, an alert is sent to the compute device or the vaporizer.

Abstract: An age and/or identity verification system for reduced-risk devices (RRD) may include a RRD, the RRD initially in an inoperable state, an identity verification server configured to perform identity verification related to an adult consumer, and a computing device. The computing device may receive adult consumer identity information corresponding to the adult consumer from the adult consumer, receive the UID of the RRD, transmit the adult consumer identity information and the UID of the RRD to the identity verification server to perform identity verification of the adult consumer, receive results of the performed identity verification from the identity verification server, receive an encrypted key corresponding to the RRD based on the results of the performed identity verification of the adult consumer, and transmit the encrypted key to the RRD. The RRD may change the state of the RRD to an operable state based on the encrypted key.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to methods and apparatus for vaporizing the plant material of a rolled article. More specifically, the present disclosure presents an apparatus for adapting a rolled article to be inhaled through a vaporization of the active ingredient of the plant material contained within the rolled article. The present disclosure relates to a device battery powered heating element, a means to insert or attach to a cigarette or other rolled article, such as a cigar or other roll of tobacco, marijuana, or smoking substance, and a means to activate the heating element, wherein the heating element may vaporize the rolled material for inhalation.

The attachment device includes an intake chamber, a mouthpiece and a water pipe percolator section. The intake chamber has an opening configured to receive one of a plurality of secondary device mouthpieces or atomizers in sealing engagement, the secondary device mouthpieces or atomizers each belonging to one of a variety of different corresponding design of devices such as vaporizers. The percolator section is in fluid communication with the intake chamber and the mouthpiece and interposed between the two. The percolator is a dome percolator with a cylindrical housing. The intake chamber and the mouthpiece are oriented as in-line extensions of the cylindrical housing.

Abstract: The present application provides a battery assembly of an electronic cigarette which is adapted to form an electronic cigarette in combination with an atomizing assembly. An image identification device includes an image sensor and a microprocessor. The microprocessor matches an identifier to be identified collected by the image sensor with a preset identifier, and if the identifier to be identified matches with the preset identifier, the microprocessor controls a circuit between the battery assembly and the atomizing assembly to turn on, thus the electronic cigarette can work normally. That is, the electronic cigarette has an identification function that it can be normally used only when the battery assembly and the atomizing assembly of the electronic cigarette are matched, thereby avoiding damage to the connectors of the electronic cigarette caused by mismatching.

The accessory incorporates at least one electric heating element mounted on a telescopic arm protruding from a stable free-standing base unit. The telescopic arm enables the height adjustment of the heating element to accommodate various heights of hookahs. The electric heating element is enclosed in a protective hood with a thermometer mounted on said hood to monitor the temperature of the heating element for the purpose of adjusting said temperature. The base unit also includes a blower unit for the purpose of cleaning the hookah hose; a position sensitive switch to turn the unit off if it is tipped over; a timer to alert the user that the tobacco is exhausted; and a waiter call unit for the purpose of requesting service in a restaurant or hookah bar.
