Abstract: The invention relates to a water pipe with a multi-part housing (2) for smoking accessories, an electronic system, and a liquid medium (12), wherein the housing part (3) that receives the liquid medium (12) has at least one suction connection (5) and is connected to the housing part (4) that receives the heating chamber (31) and to a capsule (13) that receives the smoking medium via a suction tube (11) that passes through a housing part (7) which receives the electronic system. The suction tube (11) has a closure unit (10) in the region of the transition between the housing part (7) that has the electronic system and the housing part (3) that receives the liquid medium. The closure unit (10) is designed as a suction tube (11) end piece (38) bent in a U-shape.

Abstract: An aerosol generation system for generation of an aerosol from an aerosol-forming precursor includes an electrically operated heating system to heat precursor to generate the aerosol, a flow path for transmission of flow, including the aerosol, to a user, the heating system arranged in fluid communication with the flow path; and electrical circuitry. The electrical circuitry is configured to: measure a property of the electrical energy through the heating system, determine one or more characteristics from the result of the measurement of the measured property of the electrical energy, select, based on the determined characteristics, one from a plurality of different stored relationships between the measured property of the electrical energy and a property of the flow, and determine the property of the flow based on relationship.

Abstract: Phyto material tablets, tablet vaporizers, methods and apparatus for forming phyto material tablets. The tablets are formed to increase vaporization efficiency. Tablets can include break regions to facilitate fracturing into multiple pieces for vaporization. The tablets can also include multiple layers of different phyto material mixtures. Compression molds are used to shape the tablets. The compression molds can be provided on a rotational assembly to facilitate rapid manufacturing of multiple tablets. The vaporizers include heating chambers that are configured to increase the surface area of the tablets exposed for vaporization. The heating chambers include compression or fracture members that compress and/or encourage fracturing of the tablets to assist vaporization.

Abstract: Secondary smoke is harmful to passive smokers. A filter sleeve (1) comprises a sleeve (10) with a downstream portion (11) adapted for receiving inhale smoke into an inhalation flow path (13), an upstream portion (12) adapted for inhalation of said inhale smoke and for receiving exhale smoke into an exhalation flow path (14), filter means (15) provided along said exhalation flow path (14), and means (16) for checking reverse flow of ambient air through said exhalation flow path (14). A filter sheath (3) is adapted for overlaying a significant expanse of the sidestream smoke emission areas of a rod of smokable material (7), said filter sheath (3) is sufficiently porous and significantly unimpaired by combustion.

Abstract: The invention is concerned with a process for counteracting smoke malodour wherein enclosed air spaces wherein smoke maladour is present, or substrates on which smoke malodour has deposited are brought in contact with one or more perfumery aldehydes of the class I according to general structure, wherein R1 and R2 each may be: hydrogen, alkyl, hydroxyl or alkoxy, or together may be methylenedioxy or with a perfume containing such aldehydes. Preferably the perfume also contains one or more perfumery aldehydes of class according to general structure, wherein R1 is a phenyl ring optionally substituted with an alkyl group, R2 represents hydrogen or both R2 taken together represent a double bond, and R3 is hydrogen or an alkyl chain with 1 to 6 carbon atoms. The smoke malodour counteracting perfumes preferably contain at least 3.5% w/w of class I aldehydes and at least 10% w/w of class II aldehydes.

Abstract: A smoking accessory includes a case that can completely contain a lighted cigarette. The cigarette foot end extends out of the case, and the smoker exhales smoke into a mouthpiece on the case that conducts the exhaled smoke into a filter chamber to be filtered before it is exhausted to the environment. The case includes an ash chamber next to a cigarette containing chamber, and a filter chamber is located adjacent to the cigarette containing chamber. A flexible hose having two passages can be connected to the case.

Abstract: A smoke catcher device which catches essentially 100% of secondary smoke products such as cigarettes, cigars and pipes. The device comprises a housing having an interior space. The smoke product is installed in the housing such that the burning end of the product is in the interior space and the lip end is on the ouside of the housing. The housing also comprises a smoke intake opening and an exhaust port. The secondary smoke is exhausted through an appropriate filter system or to a smoke dump place. In use a smoker sucks smoke through the lip end of the smoke product and exhales the smoke into the smoke intake opening.

Abstract: A tar removing cigarette holder assembled of a body having a cylindrical bore and a cup portion formed integrally therewith and located in the bore, the cup portion being open toward one end of the bore and defining a first annular space with the bore wall and having at least one partial cut away at the annular open edge thereof and a closed end wall portion, a mouthpiece member attached to the other end of the body, and a partition member inserted into the bore with an annular disk portion tightly engaged with the bore wall so as to close the open end of the cup portion and a central tubular projection extended into the cup portion and defining a second annular space with the cylindrical wall portion of the cup portion, the first and second annular spaces being in communication through the cut away of the cup portion.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a smoking pipe having a retroverted-flow filter around a bit member and having a bowl placed within a bowl receptacle for enabling quick and easy changing of the smoking bowl while additionally creating an air cooling space between the bowl and bowl receptacle. More specifically, the present invention represents an improvement on the bit member and bowl structure of U.S. Pat. No. 3,780,745.
