Spiral Passage Patents (Class 131/217)
  • Patent number: 11076637
Abstract: A compact pipe for smoking cannabis features an elongated smoke pathway prior to entering the mouthpiece so as to cause smoke cooling and purification by removal of smoking debris along the pathway. An elongated serpentine groove is formed on the exterior of an elastic stem insert configured for insertion into a rigid outer shell during the pipe assembly. Elastic stem insert also serves to brush off smoke stains and deposits of smoke debris from the inside of the outer shell, making cleaning of the pipe easy and convenient. A smoke chamber is formed below the cannabis container to cause even distribution of air and smoke flow throughout the volume of cannabis to eliminate the need to frequently light up the pipe during use.

  • Patent number: 4502495
Abstract: There is disclosed apparatus and method for making helical center-cored smokers' filters from pipe cleaners or the like in which a guide for winding the pipe cleaner includes a thin walled metal tube with an inside diameter slightly smaller than the pipe cleaner and a wire affixed to the outside of the tube in the shape of a helix. The pipe cleaner is put in the tube for a fraction of its length and is then wound along the guide around the tube and itself by the use of a transparent plastic hollow cylinder slipped over the tube and with a pipe cleaner engaging notch in one end. An opening in the cylinder allows a fully wound pipe cleaner to be held in place while the guide is rotated and disengaged from it after which the wound pipe cleaner filter is pushed out of the cylinder and removed.

  • Patent number: 4094508
Abstract: A combination pipe and game is disclosed. The pipe includes a base on which is mounted a transparent tube which may be in an aesthetically pleasing coiled shape. A mouth piece is attached to the ends of the tube. A pipe bowl is positioned along the tube and is in communication with the interior of the tube. A lightweight ball can move about within the tube. The object of the game is for the smoker to draw smoke through the tube advancing the ball to a predetermined position within the tube. In another embodiment, the device is adapted for use by two or more smokers by expedient of inserting a fitting having an appropriate number of outlets, smoking tubes being connectable to each of the outlets.

  • Patent number: 3964493
Abstract: A filtered cigarette including a forward portion, a strainer and a filter, in which the filter is of molded plastic, having one or a plurality of surfaces provided with interconnected channels which provide long and tortuous paths through which the air-smoke mixture passes. In one embodiment, the passageway of the filter is around the periphery of a hollow cylindrical core, covered by paper. This passageway comprises a plurality of circumferentially disposed axially spaced groover interconnected by axially extending connector channels. Islands or abutments at the discharge ends of certain air-smoke channels abruptly change the direction of flow of air-smoke mixture and separate it into separate streams which eventually are recombined.
