The running tool is configured to attach to a packoff body. The knuckle joint is attached to the first end of the running tool and is attached to the elevator. The knuckle joint is configured to angularly deflect.

Abstract: A portable inhalation apparatus is provided comprising a base and a collapsible stem assembly. In some embodiments, the portable inhalation apparatus is a smoking pipe. The collapsible stem assembly may have an extended position in which the stem assembly extends away from the base and a collapsed position in which the stem assembly is collapsed towards the base. When the stem assembly is in the collapsed position, the smoking pipe may be in a compact form to store and transport the smoking pipe. The stem assembly may comprise at least two stem sections and at least one articulating connection interconnecting the stem sections. A related method for making a portable inhalation apparatus is also provided.

The connection system includes a flexible pipe (2) having at least one end portion for connection to a hydraulic connector. At least one hollow insert (3, 6) axially engages the end portion of the flexible pipe (2). The insert (3, 6) includes a flange-shaped head portion (31, 61) which abuts against the free end of the end portion of the pipe (2). A reinforcement portion (32, 62) extends from the head portion (31, 61) into the end portion of the pipe (2). At least one annular bushing (4) mechanically clamps onto the end portion of the pipe (2). At least one connecting element (5) is fitted onto the end portion of the pipe (2) and includes a device for connection to the hydraulic connector.

Abstract: Supported face seal assemblies and related methods are disclosed. The supported face seal assemblies have spring energized seal element supported by a backing ring. When the two components are joined, they form an interlocking face seal assembly that is less prone to separate during installation and/or service. The methods disclosed include the steps of forming a spring energized sealing element with a convex outer surface, forming a backup or support ring with a concave inner surface, assembling the sealing element into the inner bore of the backup or support ring such that the concave inner surface accepts a portion of the convex outer surface and the sealing element is retained within the backup or support ring.

Abstract: Disclosed is a supporting module for a display device, which includes a fixing seat, a pivot lever, a slider and a spring. The pivot lever and the slider constitute a screw transmission mechanism. The pivot motion of the pivot lever can cause screw motion between the pivot lever and the slider and thus induces the linear movement of the slider with respect to the pivot lever. Accordingly, the displacement of the slider causes different degrees of deformation in the spring, resulting in different spring resilience forces on the slider. By the screw transmission mechanism, the different spring resilience forces can be further converted into different resistance torques to balance with the downward torque caused by the weight of the display device. As a result, the display device can stopped at any desired height.

The battery assembly is connected to the atomizer assembly to form the electronic cigarette. The battery assembly includes a battery sleeve and a first connection member, and the atomizer assembly includes an atomizer sleeve and a second connection member. The first connection member and the second connection member are connected with each other. A portion of the first connection member contacting the battery sleeve and/or a portion of the second connection member contacting the atomizer sleeve protrude(s) to form an anti-slip structure, and Teflon paste configured to enhance a connection strength between the first connection member and the battery sleeve and/or enhance a connection strength between the second connection member and the atomizer sleeve is spread on a circumferential outer wall of the anti-slip structure.

Components of the electronic vaporizing devices may include a cartridge (e.g., including a liquid for vaporization) and a battery unit (e.g., including a rechargeable battery), among other possible components. The electronic vaporizing devices may be at least partially disassembled to allow a user to replace, replenish, recharge, and/or repair the device, as needed.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to connectors that may be employed in cartridges for smoking articles. The connectors may include a single-use mechanism that may include a blocking pin, a biasing mechanism, and a release mechanism. The release mechanism may hold the blocking pin in a partially retracted position in which the blocking pin is at least partially retracted from an aperture extending through threads defined by the connector. The release mechanism may include a latch that is displaced from contact with the blocking pin by a release pin upon engagement of the connector with a mating connector. The biasing mechanism may force the blocking pin against an end of the mating connector such that when the mating connector is unscrewed from the connector, the blocking pin extends through the aperture and blocks at least one recess defined between the threads such that the connector may not be reused.

Abstract: A smoking device is described. The smoking device is comprised of a bottle with the bottom cut away and an adapter that may be removably attached to the mouth of the bottle. By raising the bottle relative to a water filled reservoir, air is drawn through the adapter and fills the bottle with smoke. Lowering the bottle pushes the smoke out of the bottle for inhalation.

Abstract: The present invention is a combined smoking/vaporizing, grinding and storage implement used for inhaling burning or vaporized herb, tobacco or other plant material. The implement has an end around which serrated saw like teeth are located. The serrated teeth are bent slightly inward. When the implement is placed in a container of herb, tobacco or other plant material and is torqued, the teeth grind it into smaller pieces that are caught within the teeth such that the ground material eventually can fill up a compartment located within the implement and are enclosed therein by the teeth. An alternate embodiment further comprises a filter on the inhalation end for filtering the smoke or vapor caused by the burning or vaporizing of the ground material.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a reconfigurable smoking pipe and a method of using the same for single handed operation. The reconfigurable smoking pipe comprises a base unit, a lighter holder, a bowl, a smoke chamber, a carburetor, a mouthpiece, and a plug. The base unit comprises multiple ports. The lighter holder is attached to the base unit. Each of the bowl, the smoke chamber, the carburetor, and the plug are detachably attached to any one of the ports of the base unit. A mouthpiece is detachably attached to anterior end of the smoke chamber. A user assembles the reconfigurable smoking pipe and inserts a lighter into the lighter holder. The user holds the reconfigurable smoking pipe in a smoking position using a single hand by gripping the inserted lighter and lights a smoking substance held in the bowl by operating the gripped lighter using the single hand.

Abstract: An Interlocking Hookah Pipe is disclosed. The pipe incorporates a positively-lockable interface between the stem assembly and the base assembly of a hookah pipe. The interlocking stem assembly has an interlock element upon which are pins, channels or other interlocking features. The stem assembly further has a sealing gasket to seal to the base assembly. The base assembly includes a shoulder insert that inserts into the glass base jar and is then adhered thereto. The shoulder insert has interlocking features that cooperate with the interlocking features disposed on the stem assembly interlock element. The pins or channels creating the interlocking mechanism may be disposed on either the stem assembly or the shoulder insert.

Abstract: A filtered cigarette possesses a smokable rod and a filter element. The smokable rod is secured to the filter element using tipping material. The cigarette possesses more than one layer of tipping material. An outer layer of tipping material can overlie at least a portion of an underlying inner layer of tipping material, and during use by the smoker, the outer layer can be removed from the cigarette. Thus, it is possible for a cigarette manufacturer to provide a cigarette that can be used as such by the smoker, or that can be adapted by the smoker to provide a different sensory experience (e.g., the visual, organoleptic, trigeminal, aromatic, and tactile characteristics of the cigarette can be altered by removal of the outer tipping material). Alternatively, the use of the outer layer of tipping material can be used to improve the physical integrity of the cigarette.

Abstract: A tobacco filter device includes a plurality of filter units superimposedly rechargeably filled in a sleeve member, having a bowl member connected to an outer end (smoking end) of the sleeve member and a mouthpiece connected to an inner end (mouth end) of the sleeve member, whereby upon smoking of tobacco or a cigarette as loaded or inserted in the bowl portion, the filter unit or units positioned on an outer portion of the sleeve member adjacent to the smoking end, after being saturated with smoking waste including tar and nicotine, may be pushed outwardly and discarded from the outer end of the sleeve member as thrusted and urged by a fresh (new) filter unit (or units) as recharged into the inner (mouth) end of the sleeve member, thereby still keeping use of those filter units not yet saturated and loaded in the rear portion of the sleeve member, without wasting the useful filter units.

Abstract: A combination smoking pipe/golf putter consisting of a smoking pipe being machined into the head of the device, a suitable ball striking area being machined into the side of the club head, and a suitable shaft and grip being installed into the pipe/club head. At least a portion of the periphery of the filter plug is of a sufficient porosity to render the cigarette unit unsmokeable. The filter has a diameter less than the diameter of the tobacco rod. The connecting material bridges a transition from the smaller filter to the larger tobacco rod. This transition portion assists in sliding the sleeve onto the larger tobacco rod to provide a smokeable cigarette.

Abstract: A two-piece smoking pipe vaporization chamber with directed heat intake and vapor tube extending in a manner easily adaptable to be compatible with and used in conjunction with common smoking pipe designs currently in use by replacing the standard smoking pipe bowl used for smoking. Temperature controlled hot air flow from a widely available heat gun aimed into the directed heat intake is used to enable the controlled heating of the commonly smoked materials until the active constituents reach their boiling, or vaporization points and are vaporized out of the plant material and delivered in a manner preferred over the combustion of such commonly smoked materials.

Abstract: The smoking pipe of the present invention generally includes a base and a mouthpiece. The base includes a bowl for placement of loose tobacco and also includes a channel that extends from the bowl out the front of the base. The base further includes a permanent magnet that is embedded within the base and located above the channel. The mouthpiece is a component that is separate and distinct from the base. The mouthpiece includes a channel that extends the full length of the mouthpiece. Further, the mouthpiece incorporates a permanent magnet that is embedded within the mouthpiece and located above the channel. The mouthpiece is generally movable between two positions relative to the base. The first is a smoking position where the mouthpiece is held tight to the base such that the channels of the mouthpiece and base are aligned for smoking. The second is a transportation position in which the mouthpiece is held tight to the base such that the mouthpiece covers the bowl maintaining any loose tobacco within.

Abstract: A smoking pipe formed of a spherical body having a top cavity for receiving combustibles, a shank tube receiving cavity, and a mouthpiece tube receiving cavity. An air passage connects the shank tube receiving cavity and the top cavity, and an air passage connects the mouthpiece tube receiving cavity to an exit hole at a lower portion of the spherical body. The shank tube is inserted into the shank tube receiving cavity and the mouthpiece tube is inserted into the mouthpiece tube receiving cavity. The spherical body, when placed over a standard beverage bottle such that the shank tube extends into the bottle interior, forms a substantially air tight seal with the inner rim of the bottle top. Operation as a water pipe is thereby effected.

Abstract: A tobacco water pipe for smoking loose leaf tobacco, the tobacco water pipe having a base and an elongated tube, the elongated tube being removably interlocked to the base of the tobacco water pipe. To removably interlock the base and the elongated tube, the base of the water pipe has a seat member which is at least partially embedded into the base of the tobacco water pipe and the elongated tube has a sleeve member which is affixed to the lower most portion of the elongated tube. The seat member of the base is configured to receive the sleeve member of the elongated tube. The sleeve member alone, or in connection with a collar member, is designed to interlock with the seat member, securely fastening the elongated tube to the base of the tobacco water pipe.

Abstract: A smoker's pipe that includes a hollow shank, a bowl assembly mounted at one end of the shank and a bit connected to the other end of the shank. The pipe also comprises in one embodiment a flow separator which respectively directs the smoke and liquid components of the smoke fluid into a gaseous smoke conduit and a liquid conduit, part of each conduit being in the shank and part of each conduit being in the bit. Also included is a rotatable connector that sealingly connects the two parts of each conduit together, yet also permits relative rotation of the bit and shank.

Abstract: A pipe stem replacement kit having a plurality of tenons of different diameters, each tenon having one cylindrical side and one threaded side, a pipe stem having at one end a mouthpiece and at the other end a threaded aperture to receive the threaded end of a selected one of said tenons, sandpaper to sand down the tenon to fit the pipe shank aperture and wax to apply to the tenon to ease the insertion of the tenon into the pipe shank aperture.

Abstract: A smoker's pipe comprises a bowl portion having a tobacco-receiving cavity below which is formed a transverse, tapering socket. A passageway interconnects the cavity with the socket. A tapering end portion of a stem part is a friction push-fit into the socket whereby the bowl portion can be rotated about the end portion of the stem part. The stem part includes a bore communicating directly with, and forming an extension of, the passageway. A primary reservoir in the lower regions of the bowl portion communicates with the bore and the passageway but is not in the direct path between the bore and the passageway, thereby keeping to a minimum the internal surface area of the pipe between the cavity and the bore. Thus the primary reservoir stores unwanted liquid in the pipe. Rotation of the bowl portion relative to the stem portion seals off the cavity from the reservoir and bore.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a smoking pipe having a retroverted-flow filter around a bit member and having a bowl placed within a bowl receptacle for enabling quick and easy changing of the smoking bowl while additionally creating an air cooling space between the bowl and bowl receptacle. More specifically, the present invention represents an improvement on the bit member and bowl structure of U.S. Pat. No. 3,780,745.

Abstract: Jewelry smoking devices are described which are in the form of ornamental pipe members suitable for being worn as items of jewelry. Each smoking device has a tobacco receiving portion for receiving smoking tobacco for the purpose of burning the same, and conduit means for carrying smoke from the tobacco receiving portion to a mouthpiece. The devices are in the general forms of pipe rings, pipe bracelets, and the like, and are decorative as well as being functional pipes which can be smoked as normal pipes are or while worn as items of jewelry.

Abstract: A smoking apparatus that appears to be a conventional drink container with a suitable cover and mouthpiece is disclosed. A cigarette or the like is held within the conventional drink container so that a continuous passageway is formed from the cigarette or the like to the mouthpiece, allowing the cigarette or the like to be smoked while it is in the conventional drink container by puffing on the mouthpiece. Either a wall of the conventional drink container or the cover forms at least one ventilation hole. A receptacle inside the conventional drink container collects residue of the cigarette or the like. In one arrangement, the smoking apparatus appears to be a cold drink cup with a lid and straw sticking through the lid. The receptacle is made of a metallic foil, and the cigarette is held in a downward direction by a plumbing insert. A second plumbing insert goes through the hole in the lid with the lip of the insert resting on top of the lid, and holds the straw.

Abstract: A cylindrically-shaped menthol cartridge is adapted to be placed within the hollow body portion of an elongated, two-piece cigarette holder. The holder includes a flattened member adapted for reception in the mouth of a user, and a generally cylindrical member adapted to receive a cigarette, cigar or other smokable, tobacco-filled cylinder. The cylindrically-shaped cartridge is packed with menthol crystals and includes vented end walls through which smoke from the burning tobacco may pass before flowing to the smoker. Inhalation of the menthol fumes mitigates the toxicity of the tars and nicotine from the burning tobacco and soothes the mucous membranes in the nose and mouth.

Abstract: An anti-pollution combustion device has a bowl in the interior of which is located, above the connection between the bowl and stem, a perforated metal disc so that the tobacco rests on the same. The outside of the bowl is formed with circumferentially extending cooling ribs. The inside of the bowl is lined with a material which prevents the wood of the bowl from charring. In the smoke passage of the stem is incorporated a filter which can be changed when it is saturated with contaminants. Near the rear end of the stem there is provided a trap with a reservoir in which liquid is trapped and accumulated so that from time to time it can be discharged from the reservoir. The rear end of the stem is provided with a mouthpiece having an annular member projecting transversely of the elongation of the stem and large enough to securely retain the mouthpiece between the teeth of a user, even if the user should have false teeth.

An elongated upright hollow body is axially aligned with said support tube and has a cylindrical base which is frictionally projected over the assembly sleeve and in engagement with the support tube as a continuation thereof. An elongated bowl support tube is projected and sealed through the wall of the support tube and extends in an acute angle thereto. A bowl adapted to receive a smoking mixture is removably mounted on said latter tube. The support tube for a portion of its height is filled with a liquid defining with said support tube above said liquid a first smoke chamber.

Abstract: A smoker's pipe comprising a stem unit incorporating the base of the bowl and formed of a plastics material and a bowl element detachably fitted to the bowl base portion and preferably formed of briar, the stem unit including the bowl base being internally metal lined. The pipe may include an externally fluted metal condenser plug in the bowl base and which plug may be integral with the bowl base lining.

Abstract: A novel and improved smoking pipe having a bowl for receiving tobacco, an extension extending from the base of the bowl, and a mouthpiece through which smoke may be drawn being carried by said extension; the improvement wherein said pipe has a flexible, shock-absorbing stem system comprising a cylinder within said extension, a piston connecting said stem to said extension, one end of said piston being received and reciprocatable from forward to rearward position within said cylinder and the other end forming a socket joint with said stem, a spring around said piston which normally biases the stem and piston to the rearward position within said piston, said stem being rotatable around said joint and said stem being advanceable toward said bowl when a force sufficient to overcome said spring bias is applied to said stem.
