  • Patent number: 10034492
Abstract: A cigarette holder for filter-less or hand rolled cigarettes that comprises a hollow tube with a flange extending from its end and at least one spring which presses directly or indirectly against the proximate side of the flange. The spring is compressed and the flanged tube is inserted into the end of a cigarette. The spring is then released and it extends to secure the paper from the cigarette around the outside of the tube and against the flange. The cigarette is then held firmly in place such that it extends away from both the fingers and the lips with the cigarette holder's tube is in its interior.

Abstract: A standard smoking lighter slides into a hole on top of a plastic sheath so that only the top of the lighter is exposed. The bottom of the sheath has a hammer like protrusion at one end to stuff tobacco or other herb into a pipe. The opposite end of the bottom has a pivot point for a poker which serves to mix the herb and ash within the pipe and/or clean the debris from the pipe. The poker folds up into the sheath when not in use. Thus, a three function pipe tool provides a lighter, a stuffer and a poker.

  • Patent number: 7297227
Abstract: A sheet electrode with a predetermined thickness for an electric double layer capacitor is made by carrying out a roller rolling step in which a long sheet intermediate is made from a material containing a carbonaceous powder, a conductive assistant and a binder and thereafter. The sheet intermediate is passed between a pair of rolling rollers to be wound up by a winding section while being drawn out of a drawing section. The roller rolling step includes drawing the sheet intermediate out of the drawing section under a predetermined tension applied to the sheet intermediate, and controlling a widthwise position of the sheet intermediate immediately before the rolling rollers by an edge position controller, and winding the sheet intermediate rolled by the rollers onto a winding section while the winding section is applying a predetermined pressure to a rolling side drive roller located adjacent to the winding section and rotated at a predetermined speed.

  • Patent number: 5209248
Abstract: A small, portable, battery operated smoking pipe filling and cleaning tool. A series of small stepped plastic tubes are prefilled with tamped tobacco by the user and placed in a row in the case. To load a pipe, a tobacco filled tube is picked up and inserted within a pipe loader having a fixed central tamper surrounded by an annular spring loaded tube holder. The pipe bowl is then inverted over the tube and pressed downward. The tube, driven by the pipe bowl down against the holder, descends. The fixed tamper shoves the tobacco from the tube into the bowl. When the pipe is removed from the device the tube will readily fall free and the pipe is loaded with a charge of tobacco, correctly tamped for the smoker. The entire operation can be done by feel in one single up and down reciprocating motion. A battery operated, motor driven reamer is centrally mounted within an ash receptacle. A switch causes the reamer to rotate and vibrate. The pipe bowl is inverted over the brush and pressed downward.

  • Patent number: 4206770
Abstract: A tobacco tamping tool for a smoking pipe including a cylindrical hollow body and a stem having a tamping head at one end telescopingly received within said hollow body member and a spring within said hollow body member normally urging said stem and tamping head to a normally protracted position. The value of the spring is such that as said body member is manipulated to force said tamping head into the bowl of the smoking pipe to depress the tobacco therein, said spring will yield to cause said body member to move downward relative to said stem when the tobacco has been depressed to its desired compaction.
