Abstract: A contact lens kit or pouch organizer for removably storing a plurality of accessories which are contained in separate containers such as lens solutions, contact lens themselves, a drain catcher and a mirror. The organizer includes a box-like container properly sized to accommodate the shape and size of the contact lens accessories intended to be placed therein. A container closure includes an upper flap intended to fold over an opening leading into the interior of a storage compartment and which closes with a snap fastener on a bottom flap which folds across the bottom of the container and folds upwardly to receive the snap fastener on the upper flap. A mirror carried on the external surface of the container is covered by the bottom flap or the mirror can be mounted on the inside of the bottom flap so as to bear against the outside of the container when the bottom flap is folded.

Abstract: A cosmetic case containing a replaceable inner case which can be easily removed or inserted, and which is specifically structured to maintain the cosmetic material contained therein in a fresh and useable condition. The invention is comprised of an outer case with a floor area and inner peripheral wall defining a space for an inner container, an outer cover attached by a hinge to the outer case, a main latch employed to hold the outer cover closed, a replaceable inner container providing a cosmetic holding space, an inner container cover capable of opening or closing over the cosmetic holding space, and a sub-latch employed to hold the inner cover closed against the inner container. The inner case is equipped with a hinge part to allow opening and closing of the inner cover, the hinge part fitting into a cutout section on the peripheral wall of the outer case so as to expose the hinge and thus allow wide angle opening of the inner case cover.

Abstract: A portable hair salon station for maintaining a clean work station and for preventing the entanglement of power cords. The portable hair salon station includes a multi-sided box-like member having a plurality of slots in an upper/frontal side and further having a plurality of rotatable shafts journaled to and disposed inside the box-like member, and a plurality of spring-loaded spools wound with electrical power cords and being mounted about the shafts. Each electrical power cord has an adapter outlet plug connected to an exposed end thereof, and is extended and unwindable through a respective slot. A plurality of cylindrical containers each having an open top and a closed bottom and an arcuate lip about the top, are removeably disposed in designated slots for receiving and storing certain hair implements. In addition, there are two slots each of which is disposed proximately to a slot for an outlet plug and each of which has a latch member slidably disposed therein and engageable to a respective outlet plug.

Abstract: A cosmetic case comprises a body having a hollow portion formed at an upper portion thereof for containing a certain amount of cosmetic material and a brush storage hole formed inwardly at a lower portion thereof for storing a brush; a cover hinged at one side on the upper portion of the body to open and shut the body, the cover having a transparent window located at the center thereof for displaying the inside of the body containing the cosmetic material and a grip insertion groove formed at the other side of the cover opposed to the hinged portion; and a brush having a protective cap for wrapping and protecting a hair part and a grip part, the protective cap moving back and forth wrapping the hair part and the grip part, the brush being stored in the brush storage hole of the body and collapsed at a portion thereof, the collapsed end of the brush being forcedly inserted into the grip insertion groove of the cover to couple the cover and the body.

Abstract: A dental implement storage assembly for holding primary dental care implements and providing storage compartments, a mirror, and a cover usable as a rinsing cup. The dental implement storage assembly includes a housing having a plurality of receptacles for holding dental implements, a plurality of compartments having doors positioned around the outside of the housing, and a cover removable from the housing for use as a cup. A mirror is positioned in one of the compartments.

Abstract: A cosmetic case containing a replaceable inner case which can be easily removed or inserted, and which is specifically structured to maintain the cosmetic material contained therein in a fresh and usable condition. The invention is comprised of an outer case with a floor area and inner peripheral wall defining a space for an inner container, an outer cover attached by a hinge to the outer case, a main latch employed to hold the outer cover closed, a replaceable inner container providing a cosmetic holding space, an inner container cover capable of opening or closing over the cosmetic holding space, and a sub-latch employed to hold the inner cover closed against the inner container. The inner case is equipped with a hinge part to allow opening and closing of the inner cover, said hinge part fitting into a cutout section on the peripheral wall of the outer case so as to expose the hinge and thus allow wide angle opening of the inner case cover.

Abstract: A cosmetics organizer comprising a palette, hook and loop fasteners having mating halves, and at least one cosmetic item removably secured to the palette by hook and loop fasteners wherein one mating half of each fastener is secured to the palette and the other mating half is secured to said cosmetic item. The invention also encompasses a kit for the creation of a cosmetics organizer, said kit comprising a palette and hook and loop fasteners having mating halves wherein the user of the kit can secure one mating half of each fastener to the palette and the other mating half to a cosmetic item to removably secure the cosmetic item to the palette.

Abstract: A cosmetic case comprised of a main case into which a removable sealed refill container can be installed. The main case is comprised of a main hinge on which a main case cover pivots, a latch able to hold the main case cover closed, a perimeter wall located between the main hinge and latch, and a cutout space which is provided to enclose the hinge of the internally installed refill container. The cutout space is formed within the inner surface of the perimeter wall but does not extend to the outer surface, thereby hiding the refill container hinge from an external view of the cosmetic case. The refill container includes a hinged cover and latch mechanism to hold the cover closed against the refill container body. A single action release mechanism is provided to simultaneously or sequentially open the main case latch and refill container latch.

The applicator transports the hair product from the reservoir to the outer surface of the second portion of the applicator by capillary action, from where the hair product may be transferred by direct contact to the hair to be treated.

Abstract: The invention's toothbrush comprises an open end which is rolled up and placed in a small and convenient package. The closed end of the disposable toothbrush supports a number of clusters of bristles. The toothbrush is placed onto the user's index finger and is held tight by a small rolled up (i.e. unopened) portion near the base of the individual's index finger. The material near the tip (i.e. the closed end) of the toothbrush is thicker than the remainder of the toothbrush. The thicker material supports the bristles and permits a strong brushing action by the user. The toothbrush is carried along with toothpaste in a small package. In other embodiments of the invention, the disposable toothbrush can have ribs for massaging the gums and the package can contain some dental floss.

Abstract: A packaging unit which permits the storage and application of a liquid or pasty product to a base includes at least one reservoir containing the product to be applied and an applicator associated with the reservoir. The applicator includes, on the one end, an application element and, on the other end, a gripping member. The application element of an applicator is capable of being accommodated in an associated reservoir and is detachable from the reservoir. A sealing member is provided between the reservoir and its associated applicator to allow the reservoir to be obturated by the associated applicator for an appropriate positioning of the gripping member relative to the reservoir.

Abstract: A modification of an earlier invention by this inventor for a non-spiilable liquid toothpaste dispenser, to simplify its construction and make replacement liquid toothpaste cartridges more available. The dispenser stands upright for normal use, but can be used in any orientation. It is made of rigid plastic and comprises a case, a cap, a cartridge containing liquid toothpaste, a case stand and a tooth floss holder. Inside the case top is a novel sliding valve that utilizes semicircular doors at its top. In use, a toothbrush head is pushed through a flanged hole in the top of the case, through the valve semicircular doors and into the liquid toothpaste. When the toothbrush is withdrawn, excess toothpaste is wiped off by the doors which return to their normal closed position to seal off liquid flows A plug which fits tightly in the case top entry flange, is provided in the cap to ensure no liquid leakage when the dispenser is packed. The liquid cartridge is simple and inexpensive to replace.

The handle is rigidly connected to the inner surface wall of the chin area of the face member and extending downwardly away from the chin covering area of the face screening member. The air filter element is adhesively secured to the interior of the face screening member and covers the mouth/nose area opening such that all air drawn through the mouth/nose area opening must be drawn through the air filter element.

The storage canister base includes a bottom surface which can be placed on any convenient supporting surface adjacent to or contiguous with a bathroom lavatory sink such as a countertop surface. Abstract: The present invention relates to an eye care kit which includes a pouch having a back panel and a front panel which partially overlaps the back panel. The front and back panels are connected along a plurality of seams which form a plurality of pockets. A plurality of individually packaged eye care products, such as contact lens solutions, artificial tears, and the like, are placed and retained in the pockets. The eye care kit may also include a holder panel overlapping the pouch with the back panel sandwiched between the front panel and the holder panel. The holder panel connects with the pouch along its side and bottom edges so that the back panel and the holder panel form an additional compartment therebetween. This compartment can be used to hold contact lens cases and lens paper for cleaning glasses, mascara, lipstick, money or other items.

The second cover member and body have telescoping portions by which the second cover member is held captive on the body but can shift with respect thereto. Shifting of the second member controls a passage thereof, to permit selective access to the cosmetic applicator stored in the other of the recesses.

Abstract: A dental hygiene storage apparatus comprising a housing having a removable partition that forms a toothpaste compartment for dispensing toothpaste therefrom. The partition has slots extending along opposite spaced apart side walls with each slot having a removable gear which is connected to a rotating shaft. The shaft is positioned adjacent to and above a compressor plate located within the partition. The shaft is connected to a handle that when turned causes the compressor plate to press against a removable toothpaste container located within the toothpaste compartment. The toothpaste container has a valve extending through the partition's front wall and is adapted to dispense toothpaste. The dental hygiene storage apparatus further includes a top surface with a storage compartment for storing dental floss containers, and several tubular cavities adapted to receive a dental floss device or a toothbrush. The dental hygiene storage apparatus also has a pull out drawer adapted to store toiletries.

Abstract: A container such as a compact for removably holding a plurality of removable articles such as makeup pans is disclosed. The compact has a bottom portion including a platform equipped for removably holding the articles, a bottom wall having openings therein each of which is aligned with a respective article, and an article ejector disposed between the platform and the bottom wall. The ejector has a connecting member which communicates with buttons and locator members such as upstanding bosses, for aligning the respective buttons each with an underlying bottom wall opening and a removable article. When pressure is applied through an opening onto a button, the button moves and ejects the article from its holder means. The compact has a retaining receptacle which can be an inverted U-shaped channel cooperative with the locator members for retaining them and thereby retaining the ejector in its aligned operative position.

Abstract: A selectively detachable combination cosmetic applicator device is provided. The cosmetic applicator device includes a nail polish applicator container that is releasably attached to a nail polish remover container. The device also incorporates an on-board chamber for storing absorbent materials or the like. The chamber is prohibited from contact with either the nail polish or the nail polish remover. The containers of the device can readily be refilled and can be used at the same time when they are detached.

Abstract: A cosmetic compact formed by an open container having stored therein a facial powder, and a hinged cover to close the container, the cover having a mirror mounted on its inner wall which when the cover is swung open to assume a predetermined obtuse viewing angle, the user holding the compact can then observe her face while applying powder thereto. The hinge includes a pair of spaced gudgeons projecting from the rear wall of the container and bridged by a pivot pin, each gudgeon having formed on one side a stop positioned between the corresponding end of the pivot pin where it joins the gudgeon and the rear wall. At the rear of the cover at a right angle thereto is a pair of resilient jaws formed by parallel front and back plates which snap-fit into the space between the gudgeons to clamp onto the pin. When the cover is swung open to assume the predetermined obtuse angle with respect to the container, the leading edge of the front plate then abuts the stops and the cover is thereby maintained at this angle.

Abstract: A refillable cosmetic case has a base with a recess for a releasable tray held in place by a tray retaining cover hinged in the base and having a latching element. The case lid has a rear edge and is hinged to the base at an edge opposite the tray cover hinge, and the lid rear edge can be associated with the tray to assist in its removal whereby when the lid is opened beyond its usual limit of travel the rear edge releases the latching element and thus the tray retaining cover. The cover pivots back on its hinge, so the tray can be lifted out and refilled or replaced.

Abstract: A travelling toothbrush is combined with a razor head disclosed. In the travelling toothbrush with a handle and brush part, a first longitudinal recess is formed on one side of the handle and receives a toothpaste tube therein. A second longitudinal recess is formed on the other side of the handle and receives a disposable razor head therein. The second recess includes a dovetail for holding the razor head therein. A razor head mounting protrusion is provided on the rear portion of the other side of the handle and mounts the razor head to the handle when using the toothbrush as a razor. A handle case is detachably fitted over the handle, while a cap is detachably fitted over the brush part to protect the brush part. The cap has a clip and forms a configuration of a conventional fountain pen in cooperation with the handle case.

Abstract: A cosmetic compact permitting easy replacement of product trays, wherein a recess in the compact and the tray have interfitting pluralities of locking elements, specifically, studs and mating elements, that frictionally engage each other to retain the tray in the recess of the compact.

Abstract: A tester module to provide a sanitary apparatus to test make-up without causing discardable waste comprises a housing having a supply reel with cosmetic samples located on a wound-up tape at predetermined intervals along the tape. The housing also includes a curved member guide adjacent an aperture in the upper wall portion of the housing and a take-up reel in the lower portion of the housing. The take-up reel is periodically advanced by a crank in one embodiment to expose a cosmetic sample through the housing aperture. A user places her finger through the aperture to transfer the cosmetic from the strip to her finger and then moves the tape from the supply reel to the next position feeding the used material to the take-up reel within the housing. In a second embodiment, a window over the housing aperture is coupled to a gear arrangement to automatically index the used tape when a spring backed window is closed.

Abstract: A cosmetic sampler formed by screen printing a slurry of cosmetic powder and solvent onto a paper base. To prevent off-set of the cosmetic sample during packaging and handling, a protective thin film overlay is laminated to a perimeter adhesive printed on the paper base around the cosmetic. The paper base may be replaced by a pressure sensitive adhesive stock to form a unit dose or single application of a cosmetic that can be applied as a label to any desired surface. In other embodiments, a non-pressure sensitive removable adhesive is used in a two-layer removable label construction or a three-layer coupon construction. The sampler can also be provided with or without the protective overlay in a simple folded hand-out version or as a pad of cosmetic sampler sheets. The sampler can also be used to provide unit doses or single applications of creams, lipsticks, fragrances, pharmaceuticals, lotions, and other high viscosity, waxy materials.

Abstract: The present invention relates to methods and systems for hair dying. The system includes at least two reservoirs containing different hair dying components in predetermined concentrations, the containers including outlets having cross-sectional areas which are sized relative to the concentration of the component contained in the reservoir and the amount of that component needed to react with the remaining components. The measuring device calibrated with respect to the concentrations of the hair dye components and the cross-sectional areas of their respective reservoir outlets, permits rapid and accurate dispensing of the hair dye components in the proper quantities. In a preferred arrangement, the measuring device is provided on a blending board so that the components can be blended together immediately upon dispensing.

Abstract: An easily manufactured, inexpensive shower accessory that holds various toiletries in an organized method so as to be easily accessible during bathing, and is made out of an attractive toweling material, such as terry-cloth, so as to coordinate with other towels and decor of the bathroom in which the shower is located, and to be easily washable and resistant to mildewing, corrosion, and destruction.

Abstract: A combination absorbent applicator, wipe for teeth and oral applicator comprising a sheath having a closed distal end and an open proximal end for receipt of a fingertip or finger. An abrasive absorbent material pad is on an exterior surface of the sheath adjacent the closed distal end. The abrasive absorbent material pad can be applied to teeth, gums, tongue and lips for cleaning and treatment thereof.

Abstract: An insulated cosmetic case which can be attached to the visor of an automobile. The inside of the case contains a mirror and compartments that readily provide access to cosmetics that can be conveniently applied while the user is sitting in the passenger compartment of a car. The case has a first portion that is coupled to a second portion by a hinge, which allows the portions to be moved between a folded position and an unfolded position. Each portion contains a pocket constructed to hold a number of cosmetic items. The case has a hanging strap and dual zippers that can secure the first and second portions of the case in the folded position. The hanging strap has an aperture which can be attached to a hook or other similar structure. The cosmetic case also has a pair of outer straps adapted to attach the case to the visor of an automobile.

A mouthwash dispenser is mounted at an intersection of the first side wall and fluid container utilizing a valve member to effect dispensing of predetermined quantities of mouthwash fluid therefrom.

Abstract: A makeup compact base has a frame or insert secured thereto. The frame features flexible downward wings having retaining ribs across the lower ends thereof. A cosmetic tray may have a top flange adapted to sit in the frame, and complimenting grooves on the outside of the tray snappingly receive the ribs so that normally the tray is held snugly down inside the frame. The compact cover is hinged and is shaped in a portion adjacent the hinge so that when the compact is forced open beyond its normal open position said portion forces the tray up out of its frame to make it available for replacement.

Abstract: A cosmetic package has matching shallow trays of cosmetics individually coupled closely one above the other to an upstanding cylindrical post for relative rotation of the trays about the post axis in planes normal to the axis. A rectangular solid block forms a stable base that provides support for the post and for a cosmetic applicator receptable alongside which the trays are disposed when they have an aligned mutually stacked relation overlying the base. The base also supports a removable cover enclosing the tray stack, the post and the receptacle with applicators. The tray coupling to the post permits removal of any selected tray from the package for replacement or replenishment merely by displacing the tray a given angular distance from its aligned mutually stacked relation overlying the base. Such coupling is by way of a partially cylindrical cut-out in the rim of the tray, the cut-out being open along the height of the outer edge of the rim to permit lateral ingress and egress of the post.
