Abstract: A hand-held magnetic clamping device for clamping a car cover onto the exterior surface of a car's body includes an encasing structure, a plurality of magnets, a scaffolding, and a reversible handle. The encasing structure clamps the car cover onto the exterior surface of a car's body. The plurality of magnets magnetically affixes the encasing structure to the body's surface, thereby preventing the car cover from sliding off of the exterior body's surface. The scaffolding offsets the plurality of magnets from the center of the encasing structure. As a result, the first contact side of the encasing structure is used to clamp a thickly padded car cover while the second contact side of the encasing structure is used to clamp a thinly padded car cover. The reversible handle allows the user to physically disengage the magnetic connection between the encasing structure and the exterior surface.
Abstract: A magnetic holding device having an elongated body which extends between a tip and a locking head. A saddle is connected to the elongated body. Said saddle having a magnet connected thereto. In operation the elongated body is wrapped around the body of a hand tool and the tip is passed through an opening in the locking head. The elongated body is passed through the locking head until the magnetic holding device is tightened over the hand tool. Once in place the magnetic holding device holds the hand tool in a convenient place near where the hand tool is being used by connecting the magnet to any metal object. In this way the magnetic holding device provides the advantage of reducing the potential for lost or misplaced hand tools by allowing for easy organization and placement of hand tools during use.
Abstract: The present invention is an apparatus comprising a bobby pin holder, a bobby pin opening mechanism, and an adjustable bracelet made out of a durable material such as a leather strap that wraps around the user's wrist and is secured in place. The most preferred embodiments of the present invention include a bobby pin opening mechanism that has a pair of wedge shaped edges that can be used to open bobby pins by pressing the legs of the bobby pin against one of the wedge shaped edges, thereby forcing the legs of the bobby pin apart and opening the bobby pin for use by a hair dresser or hair stylist. Additionally, one or more ridges formed in the body of the bobby pin opening mechanism may be used to hold the bobby pin opened and ready for use.
