  • Patent number: 6077359
Abstract: A method of treatment of printed circuit boards or conductor films with a chemical, electrolytic, or rinsing treatment liquid, and to a device for carrying out the method, where the printed circuit boards or conductor films are transported in a horizontal direction by transport means, In order to accelerate these processes, the surfaces of the printed circuit boards or conductor films must be exposed to a macroflow in order to apply active treatment liquid. Furthermore, the micromaterial exchange into the diffusion layer must be reinforced. This exchange is brought about by the use of hydrodynamically acting cavitation generators, which form cavitation bubbles in the liquid jets. The treatment liquid is set into an eddy current movement in the generators because the treatment liquid is applied at high pressure in a circuit through the nozzles generating the cavitation bubbles, and is conveyed to the surface in a large quantity.

  • Patent number: 6058556
Abstract: A movable-head cloth-cutter bristle block cleaner for cleaning a conveyor-type bristle bed trained between the rotatable end units of a cloth cutter. The cleaner has a movable head attached to a cable cylinder which is coupled to the frame of the cloth cutter. The head moves substantially the entire width of the bristle bed. In one embodiment, nozzles are placed in several rows on the head and are positioned so that they extend into the bristles of the bristle bed. The movable head is coupled to a supply of compressed air. When the bristle bed moves, high volume, high pressure air is delivered to the head and then shoots out of the nozzles. The jetting action of the gas leaving the nozzles effects removal of debris contained within the bed. Because the cleaning head moves across the entire width of the bristle bed, fewer nozzles are needed to clean the bristle bed. This allows the air pressure coming out of the nozzles to be delivered at a high level.

Abstract: An apparatus for descaling semi-finished products, such as thin slabs or steel strips in rolling mills by highly pressurized water that is sprayed through a nozzle device onto the surface of the semi-finished product is characterized in that the nozzle device is movable with a vertical component above the surface of the semi-finished product by means of a drive. The drive can be controlled by a control device that receives a target distance as input value and an actual distance between the nozzle device and the surface of the semi-finished product detected by means of a distance sensor. The control device supplies an output signal via a signal line to the drive for resetting any deviation to zero. Hence, the nozzle device is always kept at a desired target distance even if humps such as bulgings occur on the surface of the semi-finished product.

Abstract: A method for making a non-peelable, sterilizable receptacle having a low particulate count for receiving articles for storage in pharmaceutical intermediate processing. This method involves providing a continuous first web of polyolefin film, providing a continuous second porous web of spun-bonded polyolefin film. The webs are advanced through cleaning processes that include an anti-static device, an ultrasonic vibrating device and a vacuum device. The two clean webs are then brought together and passed into the heat sealing section. The webs are heated welded together by forming continuous seams on the webs to form an open pouch. The seams are made by applying opposing platens at a pressure between about 30 to about 40 psi to both the webs and a heat welding element at a temperature of about 330.degree. to about 380.degree. F. against only the first web. This causes the first web to melt into the pores of the second web.

Abstract: A cash transaction machine includes a sterilizing unit for sterilizing bills by heat, a heating temperature of the sterilizing unit being detected by a sensor and maintained in a specified range, wherein a number of bills to be processed is limited because there is a possibility that if very many bills are processed by the sterilizing unit, the heat is absorbed by the bills and the heating temperature falls, and the germs are not killed effectively, wherein when the bills are not sterilized, the sterilizing unit is operated intermittently to thereby prolong its service life, and the bills are sterilized only when a specified transaction is selected, and wherein a pressure is applied to bills simultaneously with heating by the sterilizing unit to thereby remove folds and rumples of the bills.

Abstract: An ultrasonic cleaning apparatus has an ultrasonic vibrator mounted in a cleaning tank on a bottom thereof for radiating ultrasonic energy, and a deaerated cleaning solution stored in the cleaning tank and having a surface level at a position substantially corresponding to an integral multiple of half the wavelength of the ultrasonic energy radiated by the ultrasonic vibrator. A web-shaped or filamentary elongate metal workpiece, which is shaped to pass the ultrasonic energy easily therethrough, is horizontally moved in the cleaning solution at a position spaced from the surface level by a distance substantially equal to a quarter of the wavelength of the ultrasonic energy radiated by the ultrasonic vibrator. An electrode, which is shaped to pass the ultrasonic energy easily therethrough, is disposed in the cleaning solution and extending parallel to the workpiece. A voltage is applied between the electrode and the workpiece while the workpiece is being moved in the cleaning solution.

  • Patent number: 5614264
Abstract: A fluid delivery apparatus and method is provided wherein either liquid or gaseous fluid is provided from fluid dispenser manifolds, via nozzle plates associated therewith, on each side of a path of travel of articles being treated by the fluid, and wherein nozzle openings in a nozzle plates cooperate with transverse groove(s) to provide a screen flow of fluid extending transversely of the path of travel of articles, and directed toward the articles. In the case of the fluid being a liquid, the nozzle openings provide cylindrical filament-like columns of liquid which are rendered by the associated grooves into generally flat, transversely disposed semen spray of liquid. In the case of the fluid being a gas, the nozzle openings and transverse grooves cooperate to deliver the gas in transversely spaced apart, transverse, planar zones of gas directed toward the path of article travel.

  • Patent number: 5603775
Abstract: Cleaning apparatus, and a method of utilization of the apparatus, cleans an object with a moving surface, such as a roll. The cleaning apparatus includes a nozzle head with a suction nozzle and a jet nozzle for emitting a liquid jet towards the roll. A sub-pressure is maintained in a chamber of the suction nozzle in order to evacuate liquid and released impurities with the aid of air flowing through a gap between the roll and the orifice edge. The jet nozzle is spaced from the inside of the suction nozzle and at the center of the suction nozzle to form a circumferential passage, the passage communicating with an evacuation pipe. The nozzle head also includes a structure to supply compressed air into the chamber through the gap in order to encounter and carry with it toward the passage liquid and impurities, cooperating with the suction effect maintained in the chamber and the evacuation pipe. The compressed air also has the advantage of drying the roll treated with liquid.
