Abstract: A developer nozzle is moved from a periphery of a wafer toward the central portion while an exposed substrate held at a spin chuck is being rotated about a vertical axis and while a developing solution is being discharged from the developer nozzle, and this way the developing solution is supplied to the surface of the wafer, the developer nozzle having a slit-like ejection port whose longitudinal direction is oriented to the direction perpendicular to the radial direction of the wafer. The movement speed of the nozzle is higher than a case where a nozzle with a small-diameter circular nozzle is used, and this enables a development time to be reduced. Further, the thickness of a developing solution on a substrate can be reduced, so that the developing solution can be saved.

Abstract: Residual concrete in the drum of a ready mixed concrete truck is removed by high-pressure water. A nozzle is mounted on the leading end of a torpedo-shaped nozzle housing that is hingedly mounted to an elongate boom. The boom enters the mouth of the drum at an angle that matches the angle of the drum. The hinge allows the nozzle housing to pivot with respect to the elongate boom so that the nozzle is close to the residual concrete. The boom is retracted toward the mouth with the drum rotating in the mix direction and the nozzle oscillating so that it cuts through a swath of concrete. As the boom retracts, the torpedo-shaped nozzle housing maintains the nozzle close to the residual concrete on the drum and both sides of the helical fins. The nozzle sweeps an arc from about eighty to one hundred twenty degrees as it oscillates.

  • Patent number: 7531059
Abstract: An apparatus and method are provided for removing contaminate particulate matter from substrate surfaces such as semiconductor wafers. The method and apparatus use a material, preferably a liquid curable polymer, which is applied as a sacrificial coating to the surface of a substrate containing contaminate particulate matter thereon. An energy source is used to dislodge the contaminate particulate matter from the surface of the wafer into the sacrificial coating so that the particles are partially or fully encapsulated and suspended in the sacrificial coating. The sacrificial coating is then removed. The coating is preferably formed into a film to facilitate removal of the coating by pulling (stripping) the film providing a cleaner substrate surface.

  • Patent number: 7527699
Abstract: A surface cleaning system having a storage container, debris collection apparatus and debris conduit is disclosed. Water discharged from spray nozzles configured in a circular arrangement forces debris into a debris collection ring and then a debris conduit. An auger, water pressure or air pressure is used to force the debris through debris conduit into the storage container for disposal. The design of the debris collection apparatus also facilitates the capture of most of the water used to force the debris into the debris collection apparatus. Accordingly, the system is able to reuse the water thereby extending the surface area that may be cleaned with a specified amount of water.

Abstract: At present, the cleaning procedures for roasting furnaces are carried out manually. Due to the demanding operating conditions for the plant personnel, there is a decrease in the furnace performance which means less productivity. Due to the above, a robot system and method have been developed for the cleaning of molybdenum roasting furnaces. The robotic system is composed mainly of an anthropomorphous robotic manipulator (1) of at least 5 degrees of freedom which is mounted on each floor of the furnace (2) and provided with a gripping mechanism (3) which allows to take a rugged device in a spraying or rotary brush system (4) which is lifted and moved to the window of the furnace to be used in the cleaning process for the roasting furnace through the localized cleaning in arms, harrows, passes, inner walls, plate and shaft of the roasting furnace. Once this is done, the gripping mechanism (3) withdraws and removes the tool system from the furnace window.

Abstract: A spray arm assembly for a dishwashing machine includes at least one arm rotationally mounted about an axis, the arm including an internal cavity for receiving a pressurized service fluid and being provided with a plurality of spraying nozzles for spraying service fluid from said arm in the form of spray jets. The arm is shaped so that its opposite ends radially extend from the rotation axis in a manner diametrically opposite to each other about the rotation axis. The spraying nozzles are numbered, sized and positioned such that a total flow rate of service fluid delivered in use by the spraying nozzles at each concentric nozzle location circumference traced about the rotation axis of the arm during a complete rotation of the arm increases as a function of the radius of said nozzle location circumference.

Abstract: An assembly structured to clean the head portion of a stethoscope comprising a housing including a path of travel along which the head portion passes during cleaning. A supply of cleaning fluid is associated with a dispensing assembly which is cooperatively disposed relative to an activating assembly. The activating assembly is manually operated due to moveable engagement with the head portion as it travels along the path of travel. The activating assembly is thereby operatively positioned to activate the dispenser assembly when engaged by the head portion as it passes along the path of travel.
