A processing unit is configured to receive first and second operation parameters that are representative of mixing of a liquid content of the container respectively cleaning of an inner surface of the container. The processing unit then controls the drive member in response to the operation parameters such that mixing respectively cleaning is effected. A related method and a computer-readable medium are also described.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 13, 2012Publication date: May 22, 2014Applicant: ALFA LAVAL CORPORATE ABInventor: Henrik Falster-Hansen

Patent number: 8721963Abstract: Methods for sterilizing a biocompatible hydrogel polymer are provided via treating the biocompatible hydrogel polymer with a supercritical CO2 treatment composition at a treatment pressure of about 4 MPa to about 30 MPa and a treatment temperature of about 5° C. to about 75° C. The supercritical CO2 treatment composition can be substantially pure CO2 or may further include hydrogen peroxide (e.g., in an amount of about 10 ppm to about 1,000 ppm). In certain embodiments, the biocompatible hydrogel polymer can be treated with the supercritical CO2 treatment composition for about 30 minutes to about 5 hours. According to these methods, treating the biocompatible hydrogel polymer can kill about 90% or more of any S. aureus and E. coli present in the biocompatible hydrogel polymer.Type: GrantFiled: March 29, 2011Date of Patent: May 13, 2014Assignee: University of South CarolinaInventors: Michael A. Patent number: 8721796Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention generally include an apparatus for plasma cleaning and a method for plasma cleaning. The apparatus can include a lid body having a first surface for facing a pedestal during cleaning and a second surface opposite the first surface and substantially parallel to the first surface, the second surface having a first indentation sized to receive a magnet assembly, one or more handles coupled to the second surface of the lid body, and the magnet assembly resting in the first indentation. The method can include removing a sputtering target from the processing chamber, sealing the processing chamber, introducing a gas into the processing chamber, applying an RF bias to a pedestal within the processing chamber, maintaining the pedestal at a substantially constant temperature, and removing material from the pedestal to clean the pedestal.Type: GrantFiled: October 21, 2009Date of Patent: May 13, 2014Assignee: Applied Materials, Inc.Inventors: Martin Deehan, Matt Cheng-Hsiung Tsai, Nan Lu, David T. Patent number: 8702870Abstract: A method for cleaning a substrate processing chamber, including processing a batch of substrates within a processing chamber defining one or more processing regions. Processing the batch of substrates may be executed in a sub-routine having various sub-steps including processing a substrate from the batch within the processing chamber, removing the substrate from the processing chamber, introducing ozone into the processing chamber, and exposing the chamber to ultraviolet light for less than one minute. The substrate batch processing sub-steps may be repeated until the last substrate in the batch is processed. After processing the last substrate in the batch, the method includes removing the last substrate from the processing chamber, introducing ozone into the processing chamber; and exposing the processing chamber to ultraviolet light for three to fifteen minutes.Type: GrantFiled: January 10, 2011Date of Patent: April 22, 2014Assignee: Applied Materials, Inc.Inventors: Sang In Yi, Kelvin Chan, Thomas Nowak, Alexandros T.
