Abstract: A tent (10) comprised of two panels (12, 14) are joined at their tops (16) but which have free lower ends resting on the ground. The tent (10) is maintained in its vertical position by a pair of elongated rods (22, 24) on the inside of each side panel that are arranged in an X configuration. The ends of the rods are positioned in pockets (26, 28, 30, 32, 34) provided in the interior of the four corners of each side panel and are somewhat rigid but capable of flexing outwardly to provide structural support for the side panels. Adjustment straps (40, 42, 44) along the vertical edges of the side panels are used to adjust the tension on the rods. In a second embodiment (110) only one side panel (112) is provided and a vertical pole (160, 162) is used to support the top of the panel. The slide panel (112) is also provided with crossbars in an X configuration. The vertical angle of the vertical support pole (160, 162) can be changed to adjust the height of the lean-to.

Abstract: A removable floor for use with a portable shelter, the floor including a central section defining a ground engaging area and having at least one layer constructed of a non-permeable material, at least one side wall extending upward from and being connected to the central section at an edge of the ground engaging area and having an outward facing side wall fastener, and at least one initial locating fastener extending outward relative to the at least one side wall of the floor. The floor is usable in combination with a portable shelter having complementary fasteners for releasable connection of the floor to the shelter.

Abstract: A removable insulated floor for use with a portable shelter, the floor including a central section defining a ground engaging area and having at least three layers, at least one side wall extending upward from and being connected to the central section at an edge of the ground engaging area and having an outward facing side wall fastener, the central section includes at least one opening, and a central section fastener is connected to an upper layer of the central section and is located proximate the at least one opening, and at least one patch having a patch fastener connected to a lower surface of the patch and being releasably connected to the central section fastener located proximate the at least one opening. The floor is usable in combination with a portable shelter having complementary fasteners for releasable connection of the floor to the shelter.

Abstract: A collapsible shelter is provided. The shelter includes a floor having a recessed portion and an elevated portion. The elevated portion includes first fastening means thereon. Four side walls include second fastening means configured to operably couple each of the side walls to the floor by the first fastening means. Each of the side walls including a first plurality of flexible poles coupled thereto and configured to expand the side walls outwardly. A roof includes a plurality of roof panels, each of the panels is coupled to one of the side walls. The roof panels each include a second plurality of flexible poles coupled thereto and configured to expand the roof outwardly.

Abstract: A portable shelter having a hinged side wall includes an enclosure having a plurality of interconnected side walls defining a floor space and being connected to a top wall. At least one of the side walls is a hinged side wall that is pivotally connected to the enclosure and includes opposed first and second side edges and a tope edge that defines an opening in the enclosure. At least one connecting member on the enclosure is configured to selectively connect and disconnect at least the first side edge and the top edge of the hinged side all at the opening. The disclosure also provides a method of hinging the side wall of the portable shelter to an open position.

Abstract: An apparatus in one example is a portable shelter to be set up on a ground surface, the shelter having: first and second arms; a sheet connected at a first edge thereof to the first arm, and at a second, opposite edge thereof to the second arm; first and second legs intended for generally vertical alignment when the shelter is open, so that each leg has a top end and bottom end, the legs having a rotational connection at the top ends thereof to ends of the first and second arms, respectively; means attached to the bottom end of each leg for mounting the legs on the ground surface; whereby the arms and sheet may be rotated to an open position apart from the legs, to provide shelter, and may be rotated to a closed position along the legs.

Abstract: A portable and collapsible sunshade apparatus which can be conveniently folded up and carried in a bag so that the sunshade apparatus can be easily transported to the beach or other locations for attachment to a beach chair or lounge chair through use of a novel attachment clip. The universal clip enables any type of sunshade apparatus to be attached to any type of beach chair or lounge chair at any desired height above the occupant of the chair and at any desired angular orientation relative to the chair.

Abstract: A portable, collapsible, freestanding shelter for protection from sun, wind and precipitation. Shelter is comprised of four struts (8a, 8b, 9a, 9b) comprising two x elements juxtaposed and separated by releasably attached cross beams (14a, 14b, 14c). Rear adjustable stays (20a, 20b) strengthen and brace structure and, in combination with adjustable means (24a, 24b) used to lock position of x elements, provide a means of adjusting height of resulting frame. Abstract: A unitized foldable tent framework includes a plurality of elongated roof members pivotally connected at their upper ends to a central hub and at their lower ends to elongated wall members. Perimetric interconnection of the roof members, in the form of a line which may be elastic, extends around the pivotal connections between the roof and wall members to form a loop whose perimeter length increases and decreases so as to expand and contract the separation between the lower ends of adjacent roof members. Elongated tubular eave members, formed in connectable sections, concentrically enclose the perimetric interconnection between adjacent roof members, with the eave members also being pivotally connected to the pivotal connection between the roof and wall members.
