Abstract: An embodiment of the present invention relates to a portable shelter, whether being of the type having a floating canopy or an umbrella. The shelter includes a support including an upright. A canopy is supported by the support. The canopy includes an expandable frame, and a sheet of material supported by the frame. The frame includes retractable ribs supporting the sheet. The frame also includes a stretcher arrangement for stretching out each rib from the support. The stretcher arrangement includes a first stretcher for coupling between the support and the rib; and a second stretcher for coupling to the first stretcher.
Abstract: A foldable umbrella capable of auto-adjustment of the umbrella cloth comprises: a plurality of foldable ribs; an umbrella pole for connecting one ends of the ribs; an umbrella cloth expanded along a space spanned by the ribs; at least one connection portion located on an inner side of the umbrella cloth and two adjacent ribs. Each connection portion includes two L-shaped retainers and one connecting unit; and each L-shaped retainer is made of flexible and bendable material. When the umbrella is folded, by the clamping effect of the two L-shaped retainers of one connection portion, the umbrella cloth will present a smooth folded shape so that the umbrella cloth is folded along the umbrella pole easily. Thus the umbrella cloth can be folded easily, rapidly, and directly with a beautiful outlook and a small size. It is difficult to be damaged.
Abstract: An umbrella a fixed ring secured on top of a rod, a middle ring and a lower ring slidably engaged on the rod, a number of main staves having inner ends rotatably securing to the middle ring, a number of upper staves pivotally coupled between the fixed ring and the main staves, and a number of stave supports each having an inner end rotatably coupled to the lower ring and an outer end secured to the middle portion of the main staves. The main staves and the stave supports are made of composite materials for increasing the strength and for reducing the weight of the umbrella.
Abstract: The structure, for the radial deployment of branches (7) about a mast (1) bearing a slide (6, 8) mobile between a position of deployment and a position of folding of the branches (7), is noteworthy in that each branch (7) is mounted pivotally, at a predetermined intermediary pivot point (9), on one end of a retaining arm (4), working in extension upon the passage to the position of deployment, in order to hold the intermediate point (9) at a given distance from an apex (5) of the mast to which is connected an apical end of the arm (4), retention being exerted against the action of the slide (6, 8) moving away from the apex (5) an end, hinge mounted, controlling deployment of the branch (7).
Abstract: A multiple-fold automatic umbrella includes: a central shaft, a rib assembly including a top rib, a stretcher rib, at least an intermediate rib and a tail rib pivotally connected one another and pivotally connected to the central shaft, an opening spring, a plurality of closing springs and a control device for controlling the opening and closing of the umbrella; with the intermediate rib formed by extrusion molding process to have a cross section of two-lobe shape having an inner joint and an outer joint respectively connected on opposite ends of the intermediate rib for pivotally connecting inner and outer ribs of the rib assembly for obtaining a light-weight and proper strength of the rib assembly.
Abstract: A multiple-fold automatic umbrella includes: a central shaft; a rib assembly pivotally secured to an upper notch and a lower runner on the central shaft; an opening spring and a plurality of closing springs for opening or closing the umbrella; and a control device including a push button, an opening controller having an upper latch for controlling the opening of the umbrella, a closing controller including a lower latch for controlling the closing of the umbrella, and a multiple-fold rope respectively sinuously wound on a plurality of rollers which are respectively mounted on an upper holder formed on an upper portion of the central shaft adjacent to the upper notch and on a lower holder formed on the lower runner for smoothly winding the rope on the rollers for enhancing a smooth opening or closing operation of the umbrella.
