Plural Sensors For Single Bypass Or Relief Valve Patents (Class 137/115.21)
  • Patent number: 10233846
Abstract: A system for predicting performance of a liquid fuel system includes a processor and a memory communicatively coupled to the processor, wherein the memory stores instructions which when executed by the processor perform operations. The operations include establishing a baseline parameter for at least one physical parameter of a nozzle or a valve associated with at least one combustor of the liquid fuel system with at least one time. The operations also include obtaining one or more operational parameters associated with the liquid fuel system from one or more sensors during operation of a gas turbine engine. The operations further include utilizing an operational model of a fuel flow divider to output an action associated with the liquid fuel system based at least on the baseline parameter and the one or more operational parameters.

  • Patent number: 9976445
Abstract: A pressure regulating system which is an arrangement with a turbo machine for example a nuclear steam turbine. Main lubricant oil pump supply fluid for example lubricant oil to the nuclear steam turbine passes through a cooler and via filter through a main supply line. The pressure regulating system is connected to the main supply line through an actuating line. Based on requirement of the fluid excessive fluid can be diverted through the actuating line to the pressure regulating system and from there to oil tank. In oil tank an auxiliary lubricant oil pump is provided to supplement the supply of the lubricant oil to the nuclear steam turbine. An emergency lubricant oil pump has also been provided to supply the lubricant oil to the nuclear steam turbine in case when regular supply is not working.

  • Patent number: 8496022
Abstract: The invention supplies a quantity Q of gas while dividing at flow rate ratio Q1/Q2 from a gas supply facility equipped with a flow controller. A total quantity Q=Q1+Q2 of gas is supplied into a chamber at flow rate Q1 and Q2 through shower plates fixed to ends of branch supply lines by providing open/close valves with a plurality of branch supply lines GL1 and GL2, respectively, to supply the specified quantity of gas from the gas supply facility, and by utilizing bypass line BL1 on the downstream side of the open/close valve OV1 and branched from GL1 ,bypass line BL2 on the downstream side of the open/close valve OV2 and branched from GL2 ,pressure type division quantity controller connected to the bypass line BL1 and the bypass line BL2 ,a sensor measuring pressure inside branch supply line GL1 ,and another sensor measuring pressure inside branch supply line GL2.

  • Patent number: 7809954
Abstract: An apparatus for allowing operation of equipment by an authorized operator comprises a biometric scanner 20 receiving a biometric input from an authorized operator, and transmitting an authorization signal as long as the biometric input is received from the authorized operator. The apparatus further includes an equipment control system 18 that allows the equipment to operate substantially only while the equipment control system receives the authorization signal from the biometric scanner 20, and that prevents the equipment from operating shortly after the authorization signal is no longer received from the biometric scanner.

  • Patent number: 7204266
Abstract: A pilot-operated pressure shut-off valve having a main control piston which, when an upper system limit pressure in the hydraulic system is reached, connects an inlet, via which pressure medium can be fed to a hydraulic system, to an outlet by taking up a first switching position and, when a lower system limit pressure is reached, separates from the outlet by taking up a second switching position. The pressure shut-off valve has a pilot valve arrangement by which the fluidic connection of a control space adjacent to the main control piston can be changed in order to control the main control piston, and which has a valve housing, with a first pilot piston and a second pilot piston accommodated within the first pilot piston for compact construction and capability to adjust the two pilot pistons mechanically completely independently of each other.

  • Patent number: 6289919
Abstract: A valve (20B) is provided is provided for regulating the pressure differential between a high pressure side (16) and a low pressure side (18) of a fluid system component (14). The valve (20B) utilizes a damping washer (60) to restrict the flow of fluid from a valve bore (32) in response to translation of a valve spool (30) in the valve bore (32). The damping washer (60) includes an aperture (78) that is piloted on a valve stem (41) extending from the valve spool (30). The damping washing (60) is biased against an open end (66) of the valve bore (32) by a spring (62) engaged between the damping washer (60) and a spring seat (48) that is engaged with the valve stem (41). A separate spring (46) is provided to bias the valve spool (30) against the high pressure fluid acting on the valve spool (30).

  • Patent number: 6178998
Abstract: A reverse flow prevention apparatus is provided so as to drastically decrease pressure loss without installing an independent pressure regulator mechanism therein. With the reverse flow prevention apparatus, a flow path running along a straight line is provided in an outer box, and is partitioned by a diaphragm into an upstream region, and the downstream of a midstream region. An inner cylindrical body is provided at the center of the diaphragm, integrally therewith, so as to fit slidably into the upstream region of the outer box, an escape valve is provided on the downstream side of the inner cylindrical body in such a way as to be able to freely open and close a valve port provided between the midstream region and the downstream region while the escape valve is energized towards valve opening by the urging of an escape valve spring, and first and second check valves are provided inside the inner cylindrical body and the downstream region of the outer box, respectively.
