Removable Valve Head And Seat Unit (valve Insides) Patents (Class 137/234.5)
  • Patent number: 9371926
Abstract: A pressure relief valve includes a singular body that encloses a seat and a stationary shim, a poppet, within the singular body, that is forced against a seat by a spring attached to the stationary shim, and a pin inserted into the pressure relief valve body to lock the pressure relief valve into a housing bore. The poppet includes a nose extension that extends into a void enclosed by the seat to provide damping. The seat includes a non-threaded stepped region on its outer surface and the singular body includes a complementary stepped region on its inner surface such that when the seat is fit into the singular body, the stepped region of the seat and the complementary stepped region of the singular body interface with each other to prevent movement of the seat toward the spring. The pin includes a coating to reduce friction and galling.

Abstract: A fitting is for use in a fuel gas system having an access port for providing access to the system. The fitting includes a fitting body and a valve core. The fitting body includes: a first end for providing mating connection of the fitting body to the access port, a second end for providing connection of an accessory, and a central bore of at least 13/64? through the fitting providing an opening through the fitting body between the first end and the second end. The valve core is removably received in a valve receiving means of the fitting body, and includes a valve operator actuatable to open a fluid connection between the first end and the second end. The valve core is removable from the fitting body so that an unobstructed volume of the central bore can be available for a flow of fuel gas into the system.

Abstract: A digital measuring device includes a housing, at least one measuring head, at least one measuring sensor, at least one digital measurement circuit, and at least one power supply unit. The measuring head is arranged outside the housing. The measuring head functions to carry out an operation of tightening a tire valve core, connecting a valve stem, or measuring tire tread. The measuring sensor is arranged inside the housing and coupled to the measuring head to measure and detect a detection signal indicating an output of a tire valve core tightening torque, a tire pressure, or a tire tread depth. The digital measurement circuit is connected to the measuring sensor for computing, displaying, and issuing an alarm regarding the tightening torque that the measuring head applies to tighten a tire valve core, the tire pressure, or the tire tread depth. The power supply unit supplies a desired direct-current working power to the measuring sensor and the digital measurement circuit.

  • Patent number: 8256467
Abstract: A plug having a pressure release valve for releasing excess pressure within a bladder of the plug. The release valve has a valve core with a pressure release passage therethrough with an inlet in fluid communication with an interior void of the bladder and an outlet in fluid communication with the external environment outside the bladder. An elastomeric seal under hoop stress about a portion of the valve core seals the outlet until overinflation of the bladder causes the seal to become elastically deflected and unseal the outlet, thereby allowing excess pressure to be released. When the overinflation no longer exists because of the pressure release, the hoop stress of the seal causes resealing of the outlet. An inflation valve may also be provided to inflate the bladder, and with the inlet opening into an inflation passageway into the bladder's interior.

Abstract: An improved normally open (NO) gas pressure regulator is provided. Preferably, the regulator is employed with a paintball marker and operates as a NO regulator yet automatically purges the retained pressure downstream of the regulator upon removal of the supply pressure. The gas pressure regulator of the present invention includes a pressure-controlled plunger inside the NO regulator that allows the regulated downstream gases to be purged from the system as the supply source is removed from the marker. Accordingly, since the downstream regulated gases are allowed to exit the system when the supply source is removed, the regulated gas pressure is released and the paintball marker is rendered inoperable and safe.

Abstract: Paintball regulators of the present invention receive higher pressure gas from a gas canister, output lower pressure gas to a gun body, but resist violent separation if inadvertently disassembled. The paintball regulators include a hollow valve body, a plug seat fixed in the valve body, a piston subassembly removably secured to the valve body, a plug, a first coacting member on the plug and a second coacting member on the piston subassembly. The valve body defines an open end for receiving the piston subassembly and a gas supply opening. A plug seat is set in the valve body such that the plug seat and the valve body together define a fluid pathway between the supply opening and the open end. The piston subassembly is removably secured to and engageable with the open end. The plug is positioned in the pathway and complementary to the plug seat.

Abstract: A low profile inflation valve intended to be installed with an article to inflated with air, water or other fluid. The valve of the invention comprises a valve body which is sealed, such as by an adhesive, heat-sealing or RF sealing, to a corresponding opening in the article to be inflated. The body comprises a generally circular cylindrical configuration with internal threads for receiving a cap. The cap correspondingly comprises a circular cylindrical configuration having exterior threads for threaded engagement into the valve body. A flapper is affixed to the underside of the cap and functions as a one-way valve to prevent fluid from within the article from escaping therefrom when the cap is partially threaded within the body and yet which allows inflation of the article. Moreover, full tightening of the cap within the body sealingly entraps the flapper between the cap in a lower portion of the body so as to create an airtight seal and prevent further inflation (or deflation) of the article.
