Patent number: 11732814Abstract: A plug valve assembly has a valve body with an inlet and an outlet each defining a fluid passageway in fluid communication with a cavity defined within the valve body. The valve body further has a collar defining a service opening extending upward from the valve body. A plug with a spindle top and a plug body is disposed within the cavity. The plug has an opening that is operable to obstruct the fluid passageway when it is in a closed position and to connect the inlet to the outlet when it is in an open position. The spindle top of the plug has a hexagonal outer profile and a through opening and adaptable to engage with a variety of actuating devices. A threaded cap is removably engaged with the collar of the valve body and is operable to retain the plug within the valve body cavity.Type: GrantFiled: October 19, 2021Date of Patent: August 22, 2023Assignee: SPM Oil & Gas Inc.Inventors: James D. Patent number: 11624445Abstract: A gate valve system includes a body including an upstream end, a downstream end, and a flow path extending through the upstream end and the downstream end. The gate valve system includes a gate assembly extending within the body, the gate assembly including a gate a stem secured to the gate and configured to place the expandable gate in a first position in which a flow of fluid is permitted between the upstream end and the downstream end and a second position in which the flow of fluid is prevented. The gate valve system also includes a lubrication port in an exterior of the body, the lubrication port being in fluid communication with an interior of the body and including a lubrication guiding insert configured to guide a supply of lubricating fluid to a location inside the body and between the upstream end and the downstream end.Type: GrantFiled: October 22, 2020Date of Patent: April 11, 2023Assignee: SCV VALVE, LLCInventor: Sidney Mccarra

Patent number: 10683941Abstract: A valve having improved resistance to black powder wear and damage includes a valve body defining a flow passage therethrough, an upper bonnet assembly defining a stem opening, and a stem passing through the stem opening. The valve also includes an elongate gate having a proximal end operatively attached to the stem, a distal end, an orifice sized and adapted to permit essentially unopposed passage of material through the gate when the orifice is aligned with the flow passage of the valve body, the orifice being located proximate the proximate end of the gate, and a solid portion sized and adapted to substantially completely block the flow of material through the gate when the solid portion is aligned with the flow passage of the valve body, the solid portion being located distally of the orifice such that the orifice is located between the proximal end and the solid portion.Type: GrantFiled: July 25, 2018Date of Patent: June 16, 2020Inventors: Ruben F. Patent number: 10408468Abstract: A manifold has a frame and a plurality of valves supported by the frame, each valve having a cross gear. The manifold also has a screw drive and a splined rotatable shaft parallel to the screw drive. The manifold further includes a slider driven by the screw drive over the splined rotatable shaft. The slider includes an actuator that protrudes from the slider to engage one of the cross gears to actuate a respective one of the plurality of valves.Type: GrantFiled: July 27, 2017Date of Patent: September 10, 2019Inventors: Malcolm MacDuff, James MacDuff

Patent number: 10337624Abstract: Provided in some embodiments is a system that includes a split gate valve including first and second gate sections coupled together and configured to move together within a cavity of the split gate valve between an open position and a closed position. The split gate valve includes a rolling actuator to reduce friction and to convert a rotational input into a linear motion to move the first and second gate sections between the open and closed positions. In other embodiments is provided a method that includes converting a rotational input into a linear motion to activate a split gate valve via a rolling actuator. The method also includes seating first and second gate sections of the split gate valve against opposite first and second seats to provide a double seal.Type: GrantFiled: November 28, 2015Date of Patent: July 2, 2019Assignee: Cameron International CorporationInventors: Loc Gia Hoang, Christopher Jude Gerace

Patent number: 9637282Abstract: A cap body of a cap includes: a cylindrical inner wall section to be fitted into an inner wall surface of a container mouth section; an annular wall section that extends obliquely in an upper direction toward a radial-direction center integrally from an inner wall surface of the cylindrical inner wall section, has a lower wall surface of a truncated conical shape, and has a discharge hole in a radial-direction center portion; a check valve disposed above the annular wall section to open or close the discharge hole in such a manner that a valve section is detached from or seated on an annular valve seat around the discharge hole; and a guiding tubular body disposed above the check valve and having a discharge passage of contents from the discharge hole. Therefore, at the time of using the contents, the contents can be smoothly discharged to the outside.Type: GrantFiled: October 10, 2014Date of Patent: May 2, 2017Assignee: TOKYO LIGHT INDUSTRY CO., LTD.Inventors: Takaaki Sakimura, Masashi Sasaki, Masashi Mizuochi, Hajime Sasaki, Satoshi Ichikawa

Patent number: 9541202Abstract: A lubrication system for a gate valve having a moveable gate and a gate sealing element located between first and second housing sections. The lubrication system includes a cartridge having a lubricant for lubricating the gate sealing element. The lubrication system also includes a plunger element for moving the lubricant from the cartridge to the gate sealing element. In addition, the lubrication system includes a lubricant passageway located between the plunger element and the gate sealing element for supplying the lubricant moved by the plunger element to the gate sealing element. Further, the lubrication system includes a plunger contact member attached to the gate by an attachment element wherein the plunger contact element engages the plunger element. Energizing an actuator causes movement of the gate and corresponding movement of the plunger element to cause the lubricant to move from the cartridge to the gate sealing element.Type: GrantFiled: June 3, 2014Date of Patent: January 10, 2017Assignee: Pentair Flow Services AGInventors: John D.
