  • Patent number: 11680658
Abstract: A linear actuator (1) comprising a first part (3) and a second part (5) is disclosed. The first part (3) is arranged to rotate along with a rotating part (4) of a motor (2), and the second part (5) is arranged to drive an actuated part (18, 22). A coupling (6) interconnects the first part (3) and the second part (5) to allow the second part (5) to rotate along with the first part (3) at the same angular velocity as the first part (3). The coupling (6) defines a fit tolerance between the first part (3) and the second part (5) allowing the first part (3) to rotate a predefined distance before engaging the second part (5) and rotating the second part (5) along with the first part (3). The fit tolerance ensures that the first part (3) reaches a certain angular velocity and thereby that the resulting torque transfer from the first part (3) to the second part (5) is sufficient, e.g. to release the actuated part (18, 22) from a pre-tensioned state.

Abstract: A Control Valve Compensation System for producing both a pre-compensated and a post-compensated load sensing hydraulic directional control valve module, wherein both configurations use the same components except for a sliding compensating component. The Control Valve Compensation System generally includes a hydraulic directional control valve housing which is adapted to be easily-interchangeable between a load sensing pre-compensated pressure configuration and a load sensing post-compensated pressure configuration by simply removing and replacing a different compensator assembly within the housing. The compensator assembly is adapted to direct oil flow through the housing while simultaneously providing compensation for the valve function. Directional valve assemblies may be provided, with the valve assemblies functioning to provide post-compensated functions, pre-compensated functions, and mixed pre- and post-compensated functions.

Abstract: An improved manifold and valve cartridges suitable for high power (over 600 hp) reciprocating pumps for water blast or jet applications are disclosed. In one aspect, the disclosed valve cartridges are compact and mounted axially along a seat member that has a central bore in addition to suction and discharge seats. The seat member can also be provided a plurality of radially arranged bores for allowing suction flow to the pump. A spool valve assembly can be mounted through the seat member bore, and can include a valve spool, a spherical suction valve member, a compression spring, and compression-locked rings. The spool valve can include a closed flanged end that engages with the seat member discharge seat. In operation, the compression spring continuously pushes the spool valve closed flanged end against the discharge seat and pushes the suction valve member against the suction seat to retain a normally closed position.
