  • Patent number: 6557596
Abstract: A leak fuel gas discharging structure for an automobile includes a hollow reinforcement member extending between a floor panel and a wheel house and interconnecting an underfloor space and an internal space of the wheel house. The wheel house has a portion facing a filler recess and having an opening which through which the filler recess and the internal space of the wheel house are connected together. The filler recess is normally closed by a filler lid with a clearance defined between a peripheral edge of the filler lid and a peripheral edge of the filler recess. • Patent number: 5119843
Abstract: Permanently installed vacuum system hose is stored on a hose reel device that includes a retraction spring and a hose guide mechanism that ensures the hose is placed in a tight, space efficient pattern of one or two rows of hose. This efficient storage pattern is accomplished without operator effort. A ratchet mechanism allows hose to be drawn off the reel on demand. When the ratchet is disengaged, the vacuum hose is drawn back onto the reel.

  • Patent number: 4582108
Abstract: An automatic tire inflation-pressure regulating system for wheeled vehicles with pneumatic tires. The system has a system control assembly in the vehicle operator's compartment, control signal transmitter assemblies on the vehicle body in close proximity with each vehicle road wheel, and a tire pressure-regulating wheel assembly on each wheel. The transmitter assemblies convert electrical command signals initiated by the control assembly to RF signals that are received by an electronic module in each wheel assembly. Means in each wheel assembly selectively deflate or inflate their respective tires in response to the RF control signals. Gas under pressure for inflating the tires is provided either by a plurality of gas generators or by a pressurized gas-generating liquid.

  • Patent number: 4139020
Abstract: A modular control valve manifold assembly is designed for installation in the dashboard of a vehicle equipped with air brakes. The manifold houses the valving required to control the air brake system, and includes a base which provides a plurality of bosses which extend from the base. Each of the bosses house a control valve assembly which controls communication to the vehicle air brake system. The valve assemblies are retained in their bosses by a removable retaining ring, so that the valve assemblies may be easily removed from the manifold through the front of the dashboard for servicing. Furthermore, although the manifold may house an indefinite number of valves, only a single inlet and a single exhaust are required. Each of the valve assemblies controls communication between the inlet, the exhaust, and one of several corresponding outlet ports.
