    Abstract: An ice level sensor in an appliance that includes an ice storage housing and an ice maker. The housing receives ice from the ice maker. The ice level sensor includes a control circuit and one or more electrode arrays capable of detecting ice in the housing. The electrode arrays each contain one or more sense electrodes, and the control circuit detects ice in the housing based on a measurement of capacitance of the sense electrode(s). When the sensor detects that ice in the housing has reached a threshold level, the sensor can stop the ice maker from depositing more ice into the housing, to prevent overflow. The ice level sensor detects that ice has reached a threshold level by detecting changes in capacitance of a sense electrode or by detecting that the capacitance of a sense electrode reached a predetermined value.

Well fluids flow into the storage tank and the level of liquid is monitored. When the level reaches a first level, a pump is operated by a controller to remove liquid from the storage tank. The pressure in the gas cap is monitored while the pump is operating. The speed of the pump is adjusted to maintain the gas cap pressure above the predetermined pressure and avoid the introduction of atmospheric air into the gas cap.

The flushing was performed by using a Venturi pump effect to control two electrical valves open or close. In some embodiment, Sodium Sesquicarbonate (SSC) may be used as conditionally non-absorbent litter for complete disposal of feces.

The complex impedance network forms a voltage divider with the transmission line, wherein the output of the voltage divider may be demodulated with an AM demodulator, such as a thermally compensated peak detector. This demodulated signal would be related to the characteristic impedance of the transmission line, and thus to the dielectric constant of the material surrounding the partially inserted transmission line probe. The demodulated signal may be offset, scaled, and linearized with a microcontroller containing signal processing routines, linearizing equations, stored calibration constants and look up tables.

In the preferred embodiment of the invention there is provided a fluid portion dispenser comprising at least one fluid reservoir, one or more nozzles, each of which being fixed to a work surface and having a nozzle outlet configured to dispense fluid from and a pump unit, connecting each reservoir to a nozzle and configured to pump fluid from each reservoir to a nozzle wherein each nozzle includes an activation mechanism, adapted to identify the capacity of a vessel in association with a nozzle outlet and activate the pump unit to dispense a portion of fluid from the nozzle outlet according to the capacity of the vessel identified.
