The check valve is typically open because of a pressure balance around the check valve, allowing the turbo bleed flow, as well as the purge vapor, to pass through the check valve and into an air box. If the hose is disconnected, there is a pressure drop across the valve, which causes the check valve to close, preventing the release of hydrocarbons in the purge vapor to the atmosphere.

    Abstract: A faucet includes a faucet body, and a switching device including a switching valve mounted on the water outlet pipe of the faucet body, and a control valve adjustably mounted on the switching valve and connected to a shower head. Thus, the valve seat of the control valve is rotated to change and control the water outlet modes of the faucet exactly, thereby enhancing the switching function and working efficiency of the faucet. In addition, the faucet body only needs to provide a single screw bore for mounting the switching device without having to provide two screw bores which have to align with each other, thereby facilitating fabrication of the faucet, and thereby decreasing the costs of fabrication.

    Abstract: The present invention is a centralized flow control unit (CFCU) for regulating oxygen flow in a multiple user emergency oxygen distribution system in passenger aircraft. Upon activation, the CFCU initially allows unregulated flow of oxygen to surge into the distribution system to thereby purge the ambient air out of the system. After a sufficient pressure is achieved in the distribution system, the CFCU regulates the flow mechanically with a diaphragm engaging a regulator valve. The pressure of the oxygen under the diaphragm causes the regulator valve to reduce the flow of the oxygen through the CFCU. The CFCU accounts for changes in altitude by including a bleed passageway in the diaphragm. A small amount of the oxygen under the diaphragm bleeds to the chamber above the diaphragm then a bleed exit allows the oxygen to escape to the ambient air.
