Abstract: Methods, apparatus, systems and articles of manufacture are disclosed for valve body apparatus for use with fluid valves. An example fluid valve apparatus includes a valve body including a housing positioned on an exterior surface of the valve body, a calibration set screw disposed in the housing via a recessed aperture, and a cover coupled to the housing to seal the calibration set screw from external access.

Abstract: Apparatus for controlling a pressurized fluid in a piping network, and method for making the same. In accordance with some embodiments, a substantially cylindrical body has an annular wall surrounding a central axis with opposing first and second ends and at least one pass-through aperture extending through a medial portion of the wall. An annular valve seat is nested within a first end of the body. A moveable piston is aligned within the body along the central axis, the piston having a sealing surface adapted to contactingly engage an inner annular surface of the valve seat to establish a fluidic seal. The body, valve seat and piston form a valve insert for a valve housing.
Abstract: A diesel engine 100 is provided with a common rail type fuel injection device. A controller 14 controls a common rail pressure and an engine control parameter other than the common rail pressure, respectively, to target values that are determined on the basis of the engine load. The controller 14 corrects the engine control parameter other than the common rail pressure when the common rail pressure does not coincide with the target common rail pressure in a transient state of the diesel engine, thereby preventing an air-fuel ratio in the combustion region from becoming lean.
Abstract: A reducer valve for pressurized gas includes a piston (2) displaceably mounted in a valve housing (3) against the force of a pressure spring (8). At one end, the piston (2) is subjected to pressure by the back pressure via a control pressure line 20 whereby the gas, which flows in from a pressurized gas source via a gas inlet (17), is throttled. The reducer valve is improved so that a specific gas volume remains in the connected pressurized gas source below a minimum pressure. A directional valve (24, 25) is provided in the control pressure line (20) and opens above a predetermined limit pressure.
Abstract: A water discharge device, particularly a toy water gun, includes a portable housing containing a reservoir for a quantity of water; a discharge control device for controlling the discharge of water from the housing; and a hand-operated pump for manually pumping water from the reservoir through the discharge control. The discharge control device includes an expansible chamber having an inlet connected to the pump, an outlet through which the water is discharged, and a pressure-responsive valve controlling the outlet. The valve is normally closed to permit expansion of the reservoir and a build-up of water pressure during the pumping of water by the pump into the reservoir, but automatically opens when a predetermined pressure is reached in the chamber to discharge water through the outlet.
Abstract: A spring urged pressure relief valve, having a seat and a valve moved toward and away from the seat, is provided with a valve stem surrounding bushing forming a bushing chamber in combination with a disk on the valve stem. The bushing is provided with an adjustable control port to control fluid pressure assisting the spring closing the valve and controlling blowdown of the valve.
Abstract: A pressurized chemical tank is connected to a water line through a restriction (e.g., a gas flow control valve). A vacuum-regulating check valve is for maintaining the vacuum pressure of the gas flowing between the tank and the restriction. A gas flow rate sensor is between the restriction and the water line. The sensor is constructed to be responsive to pressure in the gas line, and can be connected to a remote display and/or storage device. The sensor can also provide a feedback signal to a control system for controlling the flow rate.
Abstract: A valve comprising inlet means having a bore, a seat at one end of the bore and an annular outer edge portion. A primary orifice is defined by a valve member and the seat, and a secondary orifice is defined by the valve member and the outer edge portion. The valve member has a shroud portion formed to cause the cross sectional flow area of the secondary orifice to increase at a nonlinear rate as the valve member is raised from the seat. With these parts formed to provide a huddling chamber communicating between the primary and secondary orifices, the valve has a quick full opening, non-vibratory characteristic suitable for spring-loaded liquid pressure safety relief service.
