Abstract: A pressure regulating device that regulates a pressure of a fuel, including a housing that includes a fuel introduction passage into which the fuel to be supplied into a fuel consuming unit is introduced and a fuel discharge passage from which the fuel is discharged, wherein the fuel discharge passage includes a plurality of discharge passage portions; a pressure regulating provided so as to partition the housing, and that communicates the fuel introduction passage with the fuel discharge passage and cuts off the fuel introduction passage from the fuel discharge passage, according to a pressure of the fuel in the housing; an impelling mechanism that impels the pressure regulating member in a direction of cutting off the fuel introduction passage from the fuel discharge passage; and a discharge restricting mechanism, provided in the fuel discharge passage, that selectively restricts discharge of the fuel from the discharge passage portions.

Abstract: A bio-organic composition includes residues of a vegetable oil, residues of a first epoxide or glycol, and the residues of a second epoxide. The vegetable oil is characterized by the viscosity at room temperature. The first epoxide or glycol and second epoxides are present in a sufficient amount that the room temperature viscosity of the bio-organic composition is lower than the room temperature viscosity of the vegetable oil prior to formulation and/or the first epoxide or glycol and second epoxides are present in a sufficient amount that the pour point of the bio-organic composition is lower than the pour point of the vegetable oil prior to formulation.
Abstract: A control valve of an exhaust recirculation apparatus comprises an expansible vacuum chamber communicating with a venturi portion and having a first diaphragm and a spring urging the diaphragm to expand the chamber, an expansible exhaust pressure chamber having a second diaphragm disposed to oppose the first diaphragm at a distance and communicating with an exhaust inflow chamber, a control chamber disposed between the above chambers and defined by the first and second diaphragms and a frame mounting the first and second diaphragms thereon. The first and second diaphragms are connected by a bracket to which a seal member is secured through a block. In the control chamber is disposed a conduit one end of which has an opening facing the seal member with a gap therebetween, the other end communicates with a throttle portion and an exhaust gas recirculation valve provided in an exhaust recirculation passage.
Abstract: A vacuum-operated, pressure-responsive valve is adapted for connection to the intake manifold of an internal combustion engine for monitoring supplemental airflow to the engine, the improvement of the present device providing precise adjustment of the supplemental airflow/intake manifold pressure relationship. An air cylinder, a pressure-responsive piston/valve mounted therein, a threadably mounted axially extending stem and valve-biasing spring, and a resiliently deflectable plate are assembled and cofunction to provide precision click stop adjustment of the supplemental airflow/engine vacuum relationship.
