Abstract: Animal drinking troughs have pressure reducers for reducing the higher pressure of the liquid supply to a low liquid pressure for supplying the animal drinking troughs. For various reasons, it is desired to change the reduced pressure. This takes place by adjustment of the pressure reducers. It is known to undertake such an adjustment with compressed air. This requires a separate compressed air source and a corresponding pipe system. The invention makes provision to adjust the pressure reducer hydraulically by means of the higher pressure of the liquid of the liquid supply. The energy required for adjusting the pressure reducers thereby provides the liquid pressure of the liquid supply. As a result, the pressure reducers according to the invention operate autonomously. A separate energy source for adjusting the pressure reducers is not required.

In another safety valve system, each of the safety valve protector and the safety valve comprises an actuator, the actuators being connected by a line, and a signal transmitted by the line causes the safety valve protector actuator to close the safety valve protector, and then causes the safety valve actuator to close the safety valve.

Abstract: An apparatus, system, and method of use enable control of fluid flow in a wellbore tubular. The apparatus comprises a pusher rod with a bore for fluid flow contacting a rotatable ball with an internal bore comprising at least one pilot, wherein the seat between the pusher rod and the interior of the tubular prevents fluid flow. Pressure changes on the pusher rod rotate the bore of the ball in and out of contact with the bore of the pusher rod, to enable or prevent fluid flow, respectively. A method of use opens the ball by exerting pressure and/or force on the pusher rod to enable fluid through the ball by aligning the internal bores. Fluid flow is stopped by pressure exerted on the bottom of the ball causing the ball to rotate whereby the internal bore of the pusher rod is connected to the exterior surface of the ball.

Abstract: A flow control valve includes a housing defining a cavity therein. The housing has an input port for receiving a gas from a gas supply, and an output port for delivering the gas to a gas cylinder. The cavity defines a staging area fluidly connected to the input port, a delivery area fluidly connected to the output port, and a pressurization area fluidly connected to a feedback sensing port. The feedback sensing port is configured to receive pressurized fluid that is pressurized to a pressure level representative of a pressure level of gas delivered to the gas cylinder. The flow control valve includes a piston slidably positioned in a channel extending between the pressurization area and the delivery area. The position of the piston changes a rate of flow of gas through the flow control valve. The piston position moves in response to a pressure at the feedback sensing port.

This is when a non-ORVR vehicle is being replenished with fuel. But, when a vehicle equipped with ORVR vapor recovery is being fueled, vacuum is generated above a piston supported diaphragm, attracts the diaphragm upwardly, plugs off the vapor passage conduits, and allows the ORVR system of the automobile to exclusively treat the generated vapors at the location of the vehicle and its fuel tank. Simultaneously, air is vented into the valve body, below its diaphragm, and into the vapor return line of the vacuum assist system, to prevent it from being subject to excessive vacuuming.
