  • Patent number: 10012323
Abstract: An automatic adjustable overpressure and manual exhaust valve for diving dry-suits, the valve having a base member with an opening, connected to the dry-suit inner volume, surrounded by an annular sealing surface, an autonomous closing member positioned between the sealing surface and a load transfer member subjected to the load of a pressure setting spring. • Patent number: 8573248
Abstract: A gas flow valve having pneumatic vibration dampening device to reduce the vibrations created by the flow of gas through the gas valve. The gas valve includes a gas flow conduit that terminates at a discharge opening. A valve member is movably positioned relative to the discharge opening and allows gas flow in a flow condition and prevents the flow of gas in a seated position. The valve member includes a gas passage formed within the valve member. At least one flexible membrane is mounted to the valve member and surrounds an outlet opening of the gas passage. The flexible membrane is inflated as the flow of gas within the gas flow conduit increases such that the flexible membrane contacts an inner surface of a stabilizing conduit. The interaction between the flexible membrane and the stabilizing conduit reduces the vibrations created by the flow of gas past the valve member.

  • Patent number: 5520209
Abstract: The present invention discloses a fluid relief device for relieving pressure of a fluid stored in a container or tank, or fluid used in a piece of equipment. In one aspect such a device has a body member with a primary channel therethrough in communication with a container of a contained fluid under pressure. When the pressure of the contained fluid under pressure exceeds a predetermined level, the pressure of the contained fluid moves a cover which is sealingly in place to close off the primary channel. During normal conditions the force of the contained fluid is insufficient to move the cover and leakage of the contained fluid past the cover is inhibited by the provision of a barrier fluid supplied into a barrier fluid chamber to oppose the contained fluid, the barrier fluid at a pressure greater than the normal pressure of the contained fluid.

  • Patent number: 4595033
Abstract: A safety valve for relief of overpressure from a relatively low pressure high temperature fluid system with which the valve is intended to be operative. System pressure is communicated via a body inlet leading to the underside of a displaceable closure disc that cooperates with an annular seat for opening and closing the valve to fluid flow. A predetermined loading force is applied against the topside of the disc urging it toward closed position in opposition to fluid pressure thereat. To minimize or eliminate adverse temperature effects on the disc loading force at the set point operation of the valve, the closure force imposed against the disc is divided between a coaxially supported mass of predetermined weight and a compressed coil spring operative in series relation therewith.
