  • Patent number: 9683573
Abstract: A control unit includes an excessive output suppression control unit which suppresses an excessive output by reducing a current command value from a host control apparatus. A control signal output unit obtains a motor control signal by adding a reduction amount of the current command value to the current command value. The excessive output suppression control unit includes: an oil pressure estimating unit which estimates oil pressure based on a current and a rotating speed of the electric motor; and a current command value correction amount calculating unit which compares outputs the reduction amount of the current command value if the estimated oil pressure is higher than target oil pressure. One of the target oil pressure and the estimated oil pressure compared by the current command value correction amount calculating unit is corrected based on oil temperature information.

  • Patent number: 4417884
Abstract: A timing and control mechanism for a centrifuge comprising a piston to which is attached a cam having cam surfaces which interact with flexible tubing to control the rate of flow through the tubing. The velocity of the piston in the centrifugal force field is determined by the resistance to flow of fluid which the piston displaces. The movement of the cam is therefore a measure of the speed and duration of the centrifugal force.

  • Patent number: 4284096
Abstract: A fluid pressure governor adapted to sense the driven speed of an automatic transmission torque output shaft and to develop a speed signal that may be used by an automatic transmission control circuit in conjunction with a torque demand or engine torque signal to control automatic ratio changes in a transmission mechanism as torque is delivered from a vehicle engine to vehicle traction wheels. Provision is made for interrupting the speed signal distribution to the control elements of the transmission mechanism when deceleration of the vehicle exceeds a critical value thus causing the transmission mechanism to downshift to higher torque ratios during rapid deceleration of the vehicle and thereby eliminating any tendency of the vehicle engine to stall or to malfunction as a result of braking of the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 4259978
Abstract: A regulating device is comprised of a shaft which is driven at a speed of revolution proportional to the speed of an automobile, and a duct provided in the shaft and connected for fluid transmission from a pressurized fluid source and the control means for the automatic automobile transmission. The duct has two pressure control openings, each of which has a pressure release valve. The first of the pressure release valves is loaded with a relatively large-mass flyweight mounted to one axial end of the shaft and, upon rotation of the shaft, urges its respective pressure release valve toward the closing position. The other pressure release valve is biased closed by a spring and is loaded with a relatively small flyweight which, upon the rotation of the shaft, urges its respective pressure release valve toward the closing position. The present invention includes a third flyweight which acts on the spring to increase the closing force exerted on the second flyweight.

  • Patent number: 4194518
Abstract: A governor is disclosed in which dust which may comprise steel powder, fine particles of sand and so on will be removed from a hydraulic working fluid by subjecting the working fluid to centrifugal force. A fluid passage for the working fluid is formed in a housing of the governor and a chamber communicates with the passage at the opening. The fluid passage has an opening located such that dust contained in working fluid will enter into the chamber through the opening while the housing is rotating. Within the chamber working fluid will be stagnant and dust sedimented.

  • Patent number: 4194520
Abstract: A pair of piston valve members are slidably mounted in a housing rotatably engaging the output shaft of the automatic transmission. A first piston valve moves freely under the influence of centrifugal force within the housing to throttle line pressure from a pump in the transmission to a governed pressure level used for performing shifting functions within the transmission and the second piston valve member is spring biased against the influence of centrifugal force to prevent its movement under the influence thereof until a predetermined output shaft speed is reached whereupon it throttles the line pressure supplied by the transmission pump and directs it to a portion of the first piston valve to vary the operation thereof upon further increases in output shaft speed.
