    Abstract: A tank on a firefighting aircraft initially is loaded with water. A polymer gel emulsion vessel is provided but gel emulsion is not activated and mixed with water in the tank until such polymer gel preparation is initiated by an operator. When initiated, a pump pulls water from the tank and returns water back to the tank with a dose of gel emulsion supplied therein. Double elbows and/or the pump impeller fully activates the polymer gel. The activated polymer gel is mixed within the tank by one of a variety of systems including sparging with air, routing of return water from the pump through nozzles and providing a baffle for generating circulatory mixing flow within the tank, or utilizing a mixer element which moves dynamically within the tank. Hydrodynamic forces associated with the aircraft passing over a body of water can power dosing of the water with polymer gel emulsion.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a liquid replenishing device comprising a liquid storage tank, a chemical liquid supply pipeline, an ultrapure water supply pipeline, an ultrapure water quantitative supplement pipeline and a circulating pipeline. The chemical liquid supply pipeline supplies chemical liquids to the liquid storage tank. The ultrapure water supply pipeline supplies ultrapure water to the liquid storage tank. The ultrapure water quantitative supplement pipeline quantitatively replenishes ultrapure water to the liquid storage tank. One end of the circulating pipeline is connected with the outlet of the liquid storage tank, the other end of the circulating pipeline is connected with the inlet of the liquid storage tank.

    Abstract: A nuclear plant is provided with a pipe-passivating alkali-injecting device including an alkali-injecting tank, an actuator, a counter-balance valve, a pressure gauge, exhaust valves and switching valves. The actuator is connected to the alkali-injecting tank via a first pipe. The counter-balance valve is connected to the actuator via a second pipe and connected to the alkali-injecting tank via a third pipe. The pressure gauge is provided between the actuator and the counter-balance valve and connected to the second pipe. The exhaust valves are connected to the first and second pipes, and so are the switching valves. The alkali-injecting tank, the actuator and the counter-balance valve are used together to expel gases from the pipes while injecting alkali, thus effectively avoiding feedback of liquid in the nuclear plant, transmitting pure alkali in the pipes, and reducing damage to the pipes.

    Abstract: A water recirculation system for a shower unit comprises a plurality of reservoirs and switching means for selecting from which of the reservoirs the shower unit receives water. A pump recirculates water from a waste trap of the shower unit to the active reservoir. Each reservoir contains a heater. At the user's command, a system of valves is reconfigured so that the shower unit becomes supplied with fresh water circulated from a second reservoir. Meanwhile, the first reservoir is emptied, refilled and reheated to be ready for further use if required.
