  • Patent number: 11877980
Abstract: An apparatus and method for providing therapeutic bubbling massage of a person's body. The apparatus may be adapted to float on, for example, a pond, lake or pool. The apparatus may be formed of pressurized pneumatic tubing having an interior volume that is pressurized with air. The pneumatic tubing may form a frame allowing a user to sit, lie, recline or otherwise be disposed on upper surfaces of the pneumatic tubing. The weight of a user disposed on the upper surfaces of the pneumatic tubing may force a portion of the pneumatic tubing below the surface of the fluid in which the apparatus is floating, such that bubbles are formed when the pressurized gas is allowed to escape the pneumatic tubing through openings, impacting the body of the user. The gas may be heated or may be infused with an aroma.

Abstract: A pressure regulating valve includes an inlet, an outlet, an internal cavity, a first regulating window, and a second regulating window. Pressurized fluid enters the valve through the inlet at a first pressure, the fluid flows through the first regulating window into and through the internal cavity, and then the fluid flows out through the outlet at a second pressure which is lower than the first pressure. The second regulating window of the valve adds a leakage network that prevents pressure spikes within the valve. Further, the second regulating window is only utilized when the fluid pressure within the valve reaches a pressure limit, aiding in maintaining the desired regulated pressure.

Abstract: Various embodiments of the present disclosure provide a portable dunnage bag inflator that provides a compact, pressurized source of air and that is easily mounted onto a movable cargo mover (such as a forklift truck or a pallet jack). Generally, the portable dunnage bag inflator includes an impellor-driven blower that, in operation, draws air at atmospheric pressure through an air intake grid or air inlet into the impellor and expels the air through an inflation hose. Since the portable dunnage bag inflator includes an impellor-driven blower, the pressure of the expelled air is higher than atmospheric pressure. This enables dunnage bags to be inflated to the desired specifications at point-of-use (e.g., during or after loading of cargo into a cargo container) and eliminates the need for a compressed air supply.

Abstract: A Rankine Expander System that converts low quality heat (heat usually at temperatures below 400 degrees Celsius) to electricity by using the properties of trans-critical CO2. The system is comprised of a compressor, an expander, three heat exchangers, and a permanent magnet alternator (PMA). It operates at pressures and temperatures that hold the CO2 above its critical point for the full cycle, and as such, attains high efficiencies even at low power. Under some conditions the efficiency can exceed 50%.

Abstract: A tool string carrying an external tool, such as a liner hanger, on a release mechanism is lowered into the wellbore. Interlocking lugs and J-slot profile, defined between the exterior surface of the mandrel and interior surface of the release mechanism, allow relative movement of release mechanism and mandrel without releasing the release mechanism. The relative movement allows mechanical operation of a valve or other tool positioned below the release mechanism. Weight-down and rotation of the tool string and mandrel actuates the lower valve assembly by turning a sleeve into alignment with cooperating members of the mandrel. The sleeve, no longer constrained, moves longitudinally in response to a biasing mechanism. Movement of the sleeve allows closure of the valve. After actuation of the valve tool, further weight-down releases the release mechanism from the carried tool.

Abstract: An open center flushing valve for a hydraulic system including a hydraulic circuit and a fluid flushing system, where the flushing valve has multiple positions that each include a fluid exhaust path through the flushing valve. Any of the flushing valve positions couples the hydraulic circuit to the fluid flushing system through a fluid exhaust path for that position. The flushing valve can include unpowered and powered positions. The hydraulic circuit can have two sides separately coupled to the flushing valve where in a powered position, only one side of the hydraulic circuit is coupled to the fluid flushing system through the flushing valve, and in an unpowered position both sides of the hydraulic circuit are coupled to the fluid flushing system through the flushing valve. In a powered position, the lower pressure side of the hydraulic circuit can be coupled to the fluid flushing system through the flushing valve.

Abstract: A dehumidifier for a compressor, including: a plurality of dehumidifying members that absorb moisture; and a flow passage controlling valve module that enables a low-temperature vapor refrigerant to alternately flow into the plurality of dehumidifying members and enables the low-temperature refrigerant to flow into a compressor in a state where moisture contained in the low-temperature refrigerant is absorbed and is removed, enables a high-temperature vapor refrigerant ejected from the compressor to alternately flow into the dehumidifying members and regenerates the dehumidifying members. Thus, since a liquid-state absorbent contained in a refrigerant flowing into the compressor is removed by the dehumidifier, damage caused by liquid compression and corrosion of the compressor can be reduced. In addition, the structure of the dehumidifier is simple, and an additional external heating source is not required.

  • Patent number: 9004094
Abstract: The present invention concerns a valve (1), a valve closing body (14) and use of a valve (1) and a valve closing body (14) of the type used for injecting dry powder which is mixed with liquid, and where the dry powder is supplied under the liquid surface in a mixing vessel (11) in which a vacuum is typically maintained. The novel feature of a powder valve (1) according to the invention is that a closing body (14) of the valve in the closed position extends through the valve seat (13) of the valve and into the wet environment. It is hereby achieved that when the valve (1) is opened, powder or dust from powder is not deposited on the valve closing body (14). This is in spite of the valve closing body (14) being wet, due to contact with the liquid to which the powder is added. Due to its elongated shape, the valve closing body (14), which in the withdrawn position opens for inflow of powder, has the property that the inflowing powder dries the valve closing body (14) at first and keeps it dry subsequently.

Abstract: An apparatus has a pilot-operated spool valve connecting first and second work passages selectively to a supply conduit and a tank conduit. A first check valve normally allows fluid flow only in one direction from the first work passage to a first workport and when pilot-operated allows bidirectional fluid flow. A second check valve normally allows fluid flow only from the second work passage to a second workport and when pilot-operated allows bidirectional fluid flow. A first pilot valve selectively applies pressure to one end of the spool and to pilot operate the first check valve. A second pilot valve selectively applies pressure to another end of the spool and to pilot operate the second check valve. When fluid drains from a workport to the tank conduit, the associated check valve operates to maintain a predefined pressure in the first or second work passage through which that fluid flows.
