  • Patent number: 7628173
Abstract: A fluid control valve for the mixing of hot and cold water and delivery at a selected flow rate is described wherein an upper housing and lower housing are clamped together by a snap-fit connection thereby enclosing other fluid control valve component parts. A ball stem is manually movable in two separate and independent directions of motion. There is frictional loading on the ball stem such that movement in one direction to control the water temperature has a frictional loading that is higher than the frictional loading in the other direction to control the flow rate. A spring-biased guide pin is used to increase the frictional loading in the one direction.

Abstract: A diverter assembly includes a main body, a valve device and a movable body. The main body is hollow and has a water inlet tube and two water outlet tubes. One of the two water outlet tubes is communicated through a hose to a shower nozzle. The valve device is disposed on the main body and has a valve capable of linearly moving back and forth for steplessly communicating the water inlet tube with either or both of the water outlet tubes. The movable body is pivotally disposed at one end of the main body, and has a hole for the shower nozzle to be inserted in. Thereby, the diverter assembly can steplessly adjust the valve position for controlling the water to flow out from either or both of the water outlet tubes.

  • Patent number: 7607449
Abstract: A mixer tap assembly is shown which has a mixing chamber for mixing fluids from two inputs, and a mix controller to control the ratio of fluid flow into the mixing chamber from the inputs. The mix controller includes a mix actuator which operates a mix control apparatus, such as a rotatable sleeve, which is connected to a mix valve apparatus associated with the mixing chamber. The mix actuator and a fluid outlet are mountable on or above a work surface via a mounting apparatus, while the mixing chamber is mountable below the work surface. Furthermore, the mix control apparatus and an output conduit, between the fluid outlet and the mixing chamber, pass through a bore in the mounting means, so minimizing the footprint of the mixer tap assembly on the work surface.

  • Patent number: 7240850
Abstract: A thermostatic mixing valve for hot and cold water has two-stage inlet chambers for the hot and cold water flows respectively. The inlet chambers distribute the flows uniformly with respect to porting for admitting the flows to the mixing chamber to reduce asymmetric flow patterns and promote thorough mixing of the flows within the mixing chamber.

  • Patent number: 7213614
Abstract: An automatic cold water feed-back mechanism for a single handled faucet includes a valve housing for a valve stick, a base mount, a switching valve, a valve seat to be adapted therein, a limiting valve mounted at the upper section of the valve housing, and a cold water feed-back mechanism made up of an actuating member and a spring member to be mutually engaged with the limiting valve thereof. The valve stick is provide with a linkage rod properly protruding at the upper surface of a valve stick seat thereon to be fixedly attached to a locating support block of the actuating member thereof. In operation when the valve stick is switched off at the position of either mixed cold/hot water or hot water discharge, the valve stick is flexibly retracted back to its position of cold-water discharge via the spring member of the cold water feed-back mechanism thereof.

  • Patent number: 7198064
Abstract: A standing pipe faucet assembly manufactured by a process separately manufacturing a faucet body and a separate body to simplify the process and lower its manufacturing cost effectively includes a faucet body made of a hollow copper pillar, a blocking rim formed at the top of the faucet body for fixing a separate body, an outlet pipe connected to the faucet body, a chamber disposed at the separate body made of a solid copper pillar for installing a water mixing valve, and a lateral hole groove corresponding to the outlet pipe of the faucet body. After the separate body is installed to the faucet body, a water inlet is passed through the separate body to interconnect a water outlet of the lateral hole groove. The invention provides a simple and time-saving manufacture and reduces the material and manufacturing costs greatly, and thus is very useful for the industry.

  • Patent number: 7137410
Abstract: A single handle mixing valve of the plate valve type where a single stem controls both the temperature and flow output from the valve. A control said characteristic plate having an opening is positioned over the stem and has at least one surface defining limits of stem movement. An actuating ring positioned within an exterior cover for the mixing valve has inwardly facing cam surfaces, which interact with the control plate to adjust either maximum temperature or maximum flow from the valve. The actuating ring has a tab extending to the outside of the exterior cover for convenient operator manipulation without the need for disassembly or the use of tools.

  • Patent number: 7134451
Abstract: A metering faucet assembly includes a metering cartridge valve assembly and a separate mixing control valve having a mixing valve stem that is offset relative to a valve actuator for the cartridge valve assembly and coupled to the valve actuator by a coupling mechanism that allows both the mixing valve and the cartridge valve assembly to be operated by a common operating handle. The coupling mechanism includes a slip gear mechanism that allows reciprocating movement of the operating member of the cartridge valve assembly to operate the cartridge valve and rotational movement of a mixing valve stem to operate the mixing valve. The slip gear mechanism provides an end of travel limit for the mixing valve stem and allows adjustment in the temperature limit of the hot or cold water in the mix.

  • Patent number: 7108012
Abstract: A fluid control valve for the mixing of hot and cold water and delivery at a selected flow rate is described wherein an upper housing and lower housing are clamped together by a snap-fit connection thereby enclosing other fluid control valve component parts. A ball stem is manually movable in two separate and independent directions of motion. There is frictional loading on the ball stem such that movement in one direction to control the water temperature has a frictional loading that is higher than the frictional loading in the other direction to control the flow rate. A spring-biased guide pin is used to increase the frictional loading in the one direction.
