Each of the control blocks is mounted on the separate group of openings of the supply strip for receiving agents from the channels therein and each block has pneumatically actuated valves for regulating the flow of the agent therethrough.

  • Patent number: 4119120
Abstract: Apparatus for switching a fluid stream, either gaseous or liquid, between a first path and a second path is disclosed. A pair of enclosures are formed by two depressions in a first plate (each depression having an inlet and an outlet) and an elastomeric diaphragm covering the depressions. The diaphragm is held in place by a second plate having a first control inlet opposite one depression and a second control inlet opposite the other depression. A fluid to be switched is connected into the inlets of the first plate in common. By alternately applying a control fluid to one control inlet and then the other of the second plate, the fluid to be switched is switched from one outlet to the other by the diaphragm alternately being deformed into one depression and then the other by the control fluid so as to seal the inlet and outlet and, thereby, block the flow of fluid therethrough from the inlet to the outlet.

  • Patent number: 4095863
Abstract: A manifold adapted to detachably carry on one side thereof a plurality of pneumatically and electrically operated control units each of which is adapted to be fluidly and electrically interconnected to pneumatic structure and electrical structure of the manifold. That one side of the manifold has external interconnecting structure for the pneumatic structure and electrical structure whereby external pneumatic and electrical lines can be interconnected to the same side of the manifold that the units are adapted to be interconnected thereto. The manifold is formed from a pair of plates secured together in stacked relation with one of the plates defining at least that part of the one side of the manifold that carries the external interconnecting structure and is adapted to detachably carry the control units.

  • Patent number: RE31529
Abstract: An electronic valve block assembly for controlling the operation of glassware forming machinery. A selector mechanism is utilized to couple either a high pressure plenum or a low pressure plenum to the input port of a solenoid operated valve. A pressure regulator is interjected between the selector mechanism and the valve to finely control the pressure, providing ample flow of output air over a wide range of pressures. A preferred embodiment of pressure regulator is described. Also described is an adapter plate for making the valve block compatible with varying IS machine manifold configurations.
