Abstract: A heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning (HVAC) conduit includes a first HVAC line at least partially nested within a second HVAC line having a configuration defining a U- or C-shaped receiver in cross-section. The first HVAC line is fabricated of a first material and the second HVAC line is fabricated of a second material that is different from the first material.

Abstract: An access tunnel system comprising at least one access tunnel for the sheltered guidance of persons to a vehicle, an aircraft, a building or the like. In accordance with the invention, a node element is provided at which the access tunnel opens and which at least one further access tunnel adjoins.
Abstract: A bridge system is provided that utilizes foundation structures that are formed of the combination of precast and cast-in-place concrete. A method of constructing the combination precast and cast-in-place concrete foundation structures involves receiving at a construction site a precast concrete foundation unit having elongated upright wall members that define a channel therebetween, and multiple upright supports located within the channel; placing the precast concrete foundation unit at a desired use location; delivering concrete into the channel while the precast concrete foundation unit remains at the desired use location; and allowing the concrete to cure-in-place such that the elongated upright wall members are connected to the cured-in-place concrete by reinforcement embedded within both the cured-in-place concrete and the upright wall members. The bridge units may be placed before the pouring step to embed the bottoms of the bridge units in the cast-in-place concrete.

Abstract: Applicant's underground storm-pod structure is directed to a system for collecting and utilizing storm-water. A pod structure includes at least one pod member. This pod member's structure is defined by sidewall members, end flanges, sidewall interfacing members, an upper section base member, reinforcing members, and a slab member. The sidewall member and the end flange form an opening. A retention chamber formed within the pod member is structured to store liquid. Weep holes formed through the sidewall members permit liquid to flow between a partially-elliptically-shaped pathway and a corresponding chamber. The liquid retention chamber can be in further communication with an outlet mechanism, which is itself in communication with an external environment. In one embodiment, adjacent pod members are fixedly coupled with respect to each other by coupling corresponding flange members.
Abstract: A flexible pipe comprising a first set of stress bearing elements extending substantially the whole length of the pipe, for accommodating maximum hoop stress resulting from flow of pressurized fluid through the pipe, and a second set of stress bearing elements extending substantially the whole length of the pipe for accommodating longitudinal stress resulting from a flow of pressurized fluid through the pipe.
