  • Patent number: 9548139
Abstract: The invention relates to a multilayer tubular part (1) comprising a metal layer forming a metal tubular body (3) and two layers in ceramic matrix composite material covering the metal tubular body, wherein one of the two layers in ceramic matrix composite material covers the inner surface of the metal tubular body to form an inner tubular body (4), whilst the other of the two layers in ceramic matrix composite material covers the outer surface of the metal tubular body to form an outer tubular body (2), the metal tubular body therefore being sandwiched between the inner and outer tubular bodies. The metal tubular body is in metal or metal alloy. Finally, the metal tubular body has a mean thickness smaller than the mean thicknesses of the inner and outer tubular bodies. A said part is useful in particular for producing nuclear fuel claddings.

Abstract: A heat releasing pipe includes a metal pipe and a surface coating layer. The metal pipe has an outer circumferential surface. The surface coating layer is provided on the outer circumferential surface of the metal pipe. The surface coating layer contains an inorganic glass base material and has concave portions and convex portions on an outer surface of the surface coating layer. The concave portions and the convex portions are constructed using electrocoating with an electrocoating resin. The concave portions have a virtually circular shape when seen in a direction perpendicular to the outer circumferential surface of the metal pipe and are lower than a first reference surface. The first reference surface has an average height of the outer surface of the surface coating layer. The convex portions are located on peripheral edge portions of the concave portions and surround the concave portions.

Abstract: The invention relates to an unbonded flexible pipe for subsea transportation of fluids. The pipe has a length and comprises a tubular inner sealing sheath defining a bore and an axis of the pipe. In a pipe length section it comprises a second sealing sheath surrounding the inner sealing sheath and forming an annulus between the inner sealing sheath and the second sealing sheath. The annulus provides a primary maintaining passage along the length of the pipe length section with a first and a second end. The pipe comprises at least one secondary maintaining passage along the length of the pipe with a first and a second end. The secondary maintaining passage is arranged with an axial distance which is larger than the axial distance of the inner sealing sheath.

  • Patent number: 9303795
Abstract: Disclosed is a pipe-in-pipe apparatus comprising an inner pipe disposed within an outer pipe wherein the inner pipe is an engineered pipe or umbilical. The outer pipe will shield the inner pipe. As a result, the design of the inner pipe only needs to address the functions required for the engineered pipe-in-pipe apparatus. The end fittings of the system are designed for enabling maximum operation and intervention flexibility. The engineered pipe-in-pipe apparatus will allow longer sections of the inner pipe to be used which will reduce the amount of field fabrication and streamline the installation process. The apparatus may be used for both new piping systems as well as the updating or retrofitting of an existing onshore or offshore piping system.
