Abstract: A pressure oil lubricating device, particularly for knitting machines, comprises an oil storing container, at least one oil spraying nozzle, an electromagnetically actuatable oil pump having a suction side connected with the oil storing container and a pressure side connected with the at least one oil spraying nozzle, a pressure conduit connecting the pressure side of the oil pump with the at least one oil spraying nozzle and being branched into several branching pressure conduits, a plurality of electromagnetic valves each opening and closing a respective one of the branching pressure conduits, an oil distributing chamber with which each of the branching pressure conduits is connected, a plurality of nozzle supplying conduits also connected with the oil distributing chamber and each provided with a connecting nipple with a return valve, and control unit provided with a microprocessor and operative so as to activate automatically and arbitrarily at will a driving of the oil pump and a successive opening of th
Abstract: In the rapier or gripper weaving machine a rapier or gripper rod is moved to-and-fro by a drive gear or wheel. An oil lubricating device is provided whose spray nozzle opens in the vicinity of the drive gear or wheel. This spray nozzle is connected to a pressure conduit located at the exit or outlet side of a mixing chamber. In the mixing chamber, a predeterminable quantity of oil taken from an oil reservoir can be admixed with a continuously transmitted flow of compressed air. A timer serves for the periodic activation of an oil dosing and injecting device located upstream or forwardly of the mixing chamber. The dosing action controlled by the timer periodically mixes a predetermined volume of oil into the continuous flow of compressed air being supplied to the spray nozzle. The spray nozzle is a molecular atomizing nozzle.
Abstract: The lubricator is disposed at the picking end of the picking element return device and has a guide duct for receiving a picking element prior to the next pick. The lubricator has oil mist nozzles which face only those surfaces of the picking element which will rub on the guide teeth in the next pick.Very low-quantity lubrication or lean lubrication is feasiable and soiling of the fabric by lubricant is obviated. The lubrication effect is sufficient to obviate metal abrasion between the picking element and the guide teeth so that soiling of the fabric by abraded metal can be avoided.
Abstract: The pulse lubricator is constructed to deliver oil sprays to various lubrication points of a power loom and includes a plurality of atomizers. Each atomizer includes an atomizer head and a macro-separator for separating out large droplets of lubricant. A catch basin is disposed below the macro-separator of the atomizer and is in sealed relation to the lubrication reservoir. The catch basin has a check valve in the bottom which is closed during a pulse so that constant pressure is maintained in the spray. Between pulses, the check valve may open to maintain the level of lubricant in the catch basin at the same level as the lubricant in the reservoir.
Abstract: A method and apparatus for lubricating a machine is provided. In an embodiment a method is provided for generating pressure in a lubricating liquid and providing said liquid to a lubricating station at predetermined intervals. In another embodiment an apparatus is provided for pressurizing lubricating liquid in a reservoir and directing said liquid to a lubricating station.
Abstract: The lubricating system generates and delivers a programed sequence of gas (compressed air) pulses and lubricant-mist pulses to the lubricating stations of the textile machine. The pulses are determined by an electronic controller which selectively activates valves in the gas line and the lubricant-mist line. An extractor line is also positioned at each lubricating station for extracting lubricant-mist and dirt therefrom.
Abstract: This invention relates to an improvement in a weaving machine with filling-yarn insertion by means of inserters adapted to be alternatingly advanced into and retracted from the shed and being composed of long support devices having gripper systems at the ends thereof, said support devices being adapted to be driven and both supported and guided outside the shed in their rectilinear motion, and being supported between guide rollers, the improvement comprising solid lubricating means fixed with respect to the machine and in contact with said support devices in an unstressed part of bearing means for said support devices.
Abstract: A method of driving shuttles through sheds formed by warp yarns of a wave-type loom in which a transport edge of the shuttles is lubricated before entrance into the warp yarns, and a wave-shed loom for carrying out the method of driving the shuttles.
Abstract: An apparatus and method for reducing contamination of areas ambient to a textile machine such as a machine having fabric forming instrumentalities for forming textile strand materials into fabric and a lubrication system for the fabric forming instrumentalities. In accordance with the present invention, an airstream is induced to flow adjacent the fabric forming instrumentalities, fine particles of lubricant are entrained in the airstream and conveyed thereby from the area of the fabric forming instrumentalities, and the lubricant is subsequently collected from the airstream.
Abstract: Apparatus for lubricating and cooling the gripper band on a shuttleless loom in which a roller containing lubricant is resiliently biased against one side of the gripper band and driven by the movement of the gripper band.
Abstract: An oil spraying pump having a piston which is stationary with respect to a movable cylinder having a discharge opening therein. A normally sealed bore-hole extends through the piston from the cylinder interior to atmosphere. Means are provided to supply oil to the cylinder interior whereby when the bore-hole is sealed, relative movement between the cylinder and the piston causes oil to be sprayed from the discharge opening. The pump further includes a follower joined to the bore-hole seal. The follower is periodically displaced to move the seal out of sealing relationship with the bore-hole thereby venting the cylinder interior to atmosphere and preventing oil from being sprayed from the discharge opening.
