Dobby Loom Details Patents (Class 139/66A)
  • Patent number: 5673728
Abstract: A dobby lever which is insertable into a main lever of a textile loom includes a sliding nut to set and adjust its position along the main lever. The dobby lever has a pair of parallel flat sides, separate but fixed to each other. The sliding nut has a body which can be inserted between the sides of the main lever. The body of the sliding nut has a hole at one end for receiving a joint which can be connected to a driving bar and a blocking device at its other end for the sides of the main lever. The body at the other end has sloping surfaces, and wedge-shaped elements are provided having complimentary slanting surfaces which are insertable into a box-shaped container and act upon the sides of the main lever.

  • Patent number: 5255718
Abstract: A crank lever for loom linkages, comprising a body of high-strength aluminum plate with a central hole and grooves on the inner and outer body faces adjacent the hole. A central annular rotation and thrust-bearing hub of steel surface-hardened by heat treatment is inserted into said hole and locked therein by simple compressive plastic deformation of its outer annular edge facilitated by the grooves.

  • Patent number: 5251672
Abstract: A drawing mechanism incorporating rocking levers interposed between a weaving mechanism and the heddle frames of a weaving loom wherein each of the rocking levers for coupling the connecting rods includes a lateral element which defines a lubrication conduit joining the interspace of the ball bearings to an opening made in the levers for mounting to a coupling pivot.

  • Patent number: 5209268
Abstract: In a weaving mechanism which includes rocking members for controlling the movement of heddle frames for forming the shed in weaving machines, the rocking members are separated from one another on a common support shaft by spacers interposed therebetween which spacer members are provided with projecting bosses which come into contact with bosses of adjacent spacer members. A rod cooperates with an arm of the spacers to insure the spacers are non-pivotably retained while the rocking members are moveable between the bosses extending therefrom.

  • Patent number: 5044407
Abstract: A main lever for a high-speed rotary dobby having two opposing sidepieces in which two corresponding opposing frusto-conically flared holes are formed in each side piece by pressing or milling for a removable main pin for coupling the lever to the dobby crank arm. Two inner annular recesses concentric with the holes are also formed for housing a bearing of increased axial length. The sidepieces are joined together without welding by a special annular spacer hub acting as the fulcrum for the lever and, at the free end of the curved guide for the slider which adjusts the travel of the heddle frames, by a spacing and vibration-damping block. The slider passes between the two sidepieces in the curved guide zone and is locked in position by a special locking device. Lever modifications and special reinforcements are also provided.

  • Patent number: 4546800
Abstract: The present invention relates to draw lever assemblies mounted on the dobbies and other mechanisms for forming the shed on weaving machines. Between the levers born by the fixed pin there are interposed axial stops, each of which includes two discs profiled to form between them a raceway for balls. The assembly is subjected to a constant axial pressure, furnished for example by an elastically deformable washer.

  • Patent number: 4465108
Abstract: Improved means are provided in a loom dobby for taking-up play in the control unit. The surfaces of the fixed and mobile blades which limit the stroke of the rocker arms in this unit are positioned perpendicular to the line joining the points of contact between the dobby hooks and knives to the mean points of contact between said blades and the rocker arms. Moreover, said surfaces are concave in the fixed blades and convex in the mobile blades. The linkage which cause the mobile knives to oscillate are in the form of false articulated parallelograms.

  • Patent number: 4305432
Abstract: A draw hook having a bearing end, the outside circumference of which projects beyond the end of the baulk and serves simultaneously as stop against the recoil or repulsion knife and the stop rail. The drawing force for the movement of the heddle frame occurs from the draw hook directly through the bolt onto the baulk. The reaction and the holding force act directly onto the bearing end of the draw hook.
