Revoluble Head Patents (Class 140/122)
  • Patent number: 10668614
Abstract: A hand-held power tool is provided that includes a housing, a motive source, a front endbell, an output shaft, a front housing, and a gear set assembly. The output shaft protrudes from an output end at the front endbell of the housing. The output shaft is also functionally coupled to the motive source such that the output shaft rotates in response to activation of the motive source when the motive source is supplied with power. The gear set assembly is located in an interior space of the front housing, and is configured to transfer rotation from the motive source to an output spindle. The gear set assembly also includes a ring gear that surrounds a portion of the output shaft and abuts the front endbell of the housing. A set of piloting features is provided that is configured to prevent movement of the ring gear relative to the motive source and the front housing, or the front housing relative to the housing.

  • Patent number: 6740015
Abstract: A torso exercise machine includes a frame designed to rest upon a floor surface; a seat pivotally mounted on the frame; at least one handlebar pivotally mounted on the frame; and a link pivotally interconnected between the seat and the handlebar. The link constrains the seat and the handlebar to pivot in opposite directions relative to the frame. A resistance device may be interconnected between the handlebar and the frame to resist pivoting of the handlebar and the seat toward one another.

  • Patent number: 6269845
Abstract: A tool capable of wrapping and unwrapping wires on terminals is provided with a quick-release mechanism to allow rapid and simple replacements of bits and sleeves used for the wrapping and unwrapping functions. This feature uses a bit driver comprising a camming surface that cooperates with a collet having a tapered split end for holding the bit and sleeve loosely or a gripping relationship for driving the bit. A novel bit/sleeve combination is capable of wrapping wires on terminals when rotated in one direction and unwrapping wires from terminals when rotated in the opposite direction. The tool also features a motor reversing switch for allowing the tool to be used both for wrapping and for unwrapping wires, with the reversing switch located in a protected region at the rear of the tool to prevent accidental activation. The same tool housing can also be used for fabricating both battery operated as well as AC operated tools.

  • Patent number: 4597453
Abstract: A drive unit for a power tool has a motor driven output gear rotatable about an output axis, a rotatable carrier plate, and a plurality of idler gears rotatably mounted on pins affixed to the carrier plate such that the gears engage the periphery of the output gear. The unit includes a drive shaft supported at one end by the carrier plate, and a non-rotatable ring gear floatingly mounted for engagement with the idler gears, whereby rotation of the output gear is coupled to the drive shaft, and hence to the tool bit, through the carrier plate and the carrier plate is urged toward rotational alignment with the axis of the output gear through the action of rotational forces.

  • Patent number: 4392518
Abstract: A fence wire winder for twisting together two strands of wire includes a single-piece handle member with a clearance aperture disposed in one end and a generally cylindrical spindle member extending through this clearance aperture. Secured to this spindle member is a knurled ratchet wheel and secured to the handle member is an engaging, spring-loaded pawl. The action of the pawl relative to the knurled ratchet wheel permits the handle member to be locked to the spindle member so that the two members turn together in a first direction of rotation while in the reverse direction of rotation, the handle member freely moves relative to the spindle member which remains stationary. The spindle member is retained in position by the knurled ratchet wheel on one side and a washer and retaining thimble arrangement on the opposite side. Disposed within the spindle member and extending therethrough is a longitudinal clearance channel for receipt of a first strand of wire.
