Patent number: 11311995Abstract: Various embodiments of the present disclosure provide a battery-powered stapling tool. In one embodiment, the stapling tool includes a drive wheel, a cam drivable by the drive wheel in a first rotational direction from a first position to a second position and back to the first position to carry out a staple-driving process, a motor operably connected to the drive wheel to drive the drive wheel, a lifting element defining a slide in which the cam is received, and an ejector connected to the lifting element and drivable by the lifting element between an ejector home position and an ejector ejection position. The slide has first and second slide segments that are transverse to one another. The lifting element is movable between a lifting-element home position and a lifting-element ejection position.Type: GrantFiled: September 30, 2019Date of Patent: April 26, 2022Assignee: Signode Industrial Group LLCInventors: Benjamin Hubschmid, Dimitrios Takidis, Michael Wettstein

Patent number: 11130598Abstract: A strapping tool is disclosed herein. In one or more embodiments, the strapping tool includes a motive power source; and a tensioning assembly operatively coupled to the motive power source, the tensioning assembly including a cam member and at least one tensioning foot member, the cam member operatively coupling the at least one tensioning foot member to the motive power source, and the at least one tensioning foot member of the tensioning assembly configured to apply tension to a piece of strapping while being driven in an oscillatory manner by the motive power source. Also, in one or more embodiments, the strapping tool includes a jaw lifting assembly, the jaw lifting assembly configured to raise the at least one sealing jaw member out of a strapping pass line of the strapping tool so that the piece of strapping is capable of being inserted into the strapping tool.Type: GrantFiled: February 21, 2019Date of Patent: September 28, 2021Assignee: Golden Bear LLCInventors: Joshua Robert Sikora, Charles Russell Patzer, Pavlo Vsevirovich Barlasov

Patent number: 8522830Abstract: A crimping device for securing a seal member onto overlapped end portions of a strap material includes at least a tool head, operating and stationary handles, two rows of crimping elements having at least a pair of shears and oppositely situated pair of jaws extended between the pair of shears. The crimping elements may be disposed in the tool head and connected with the handles so that at least one row of crimping elements crimps a seal while at least one row is idle when the handles move away from each other. In an embodiment, the handles can make an inward stroke only when a full jaw-closing outward crimping stroke is completed. At least one row of crimping elements crimps the seal with an inward movement of the handles while at least one previously actuated row of crimping elements is not involved in closing the seal.Type: GrantFiled: December 3, 2009Date of Patent: September 3, 2013Assignee: Teknika USA, Inc.Inventors: Pavlo Barlasov, Sergey Ivanovich Girchenko

Publication number: 20010054451Abstract: A manually-operable crimping tool for lockingly securing a seal member upon overlapped end portions of plastic strapping is provided with particular structure such that the resulting crimped seal member and overlapped end portions of the plastic strapping have an undulated configuration whereby the overlapped end portions of the plastic strapping cannot readily become loosened or disengaged with respect to each other under the influence of axially applied tensile forces. The present invention is also directed toward the particularly structured or configured seal member as well as toward the resulting sealed joint formed or defined between the seal member and the overlapped end portions of the plastic strapping.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 8, 2001Publication date: December 27, 2001Applicant: ILLINOIS TOOL WORKS INC.Inventors: Barry R. Patent number: 4688607Abstract: A tool for tightening a band to a predetermined tension about an article by pulling the band through a buckle thereon includes a reciprocable feeder within a housing for gripping the band, incrementally pulling it into the housing, releasing it and then regripping it at another position while it is held by a supplemental grip within the housing. A handle pivotally mounted in the housing operates the reciprocable feeder through an operative connection responsive to the tension of the band in such manner that when a predetermined tension has been reached, the operative connection is disengaged while the band remains gripped by the feeder. The handle which operates the feeder may then be swung in the opposite direction to actuate a member which pushes the wrapped article around the nose of the tool in such manner as to bend the band about its buckle and thus to retain the desired tension therein, after which the band may be cut off at a position within the nose of the housing.Type: GrantFiled: July 24, 1985Date of Patent: August 25, 1987Assignee: Electro AdapterInventor: Wayne B.
