Patent number: 8418730Abstract: Disclosed herein is a three-dimensional cellular light structure formed of continuous wire groups. In the cellular light structure, six orientational helical wire groups are intercrossed each other at 60 degrees or 120 degrees of angles in a three-dimensional space to thereby form a uniform pattern and having a good mechanical property such as strength, rigidity or the like. A method of mass-producing the structure in a cost-effective manner is also disclosed. The three-dimensional cellular light structure has a similar form to the Kagome truss. According to the manufacturing method of the three-dimensional cellular light structure of the present invention, a frame assembly consisting of rectangular frames and connection support bars is used, when the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th-axis helical wires are assembled.Type: GrantFiled: May 15, 2007Date of Patent: April 16, 2013Assignee: Industry Foundation of Chonnam National UniversityInventors: Ki Ju Kang, Yong Hyun Lee

Patent number: 7909067Abstract: Production of a reinforcement mesh comprising reinforcement bars (3), which are tied together by means of twisted wires (1, 2), may take place according to the invention by a method wherein two wires (1, 2) are rolled up on their respective wire coils (4, 5), which are mounted opposite each other on a rotatable shaft (12), and wherein each of the wires is guided by a wire guide element (6) downwards in a direction toward the common twisting point of the wires (1, 2). Meshes of surface-treated, coated, wires and bars may be made in this manner, there being no external impact that can damage the surface.Type: GrantFiled: February 17, 2006Date of Patent: March 22, 2011Assignee: SpinMaster ApSInventors: Kurt Offersen, Claus Brask

Patent number: 7640952Abstract: A method for manufacturing the surgical device for removing a foreign object from a body and a retrieval basket of the device are described. The retrieval basket is adapted for entrapping and retaining the object located in the body. The basket comprises a structure having a proximal end and a distal end. The structure is formed by a plurality of filaments fabricated from a single or several wires. The filaments extend from the proximal end towards the distal end, and are bound together to define a plurality of strands. The strands ramify at corresponding branching points into loops having various shapes and sizes. At least a part of the loops are overlapped and/or interlaced so as to define a net, and thereby impart structural rigidity and dilatation ability to the basket when opened.Type: GrantFiled: June 23, 2005Date of Patent: January 5, 2010Assignee: Lithotech Medical Ltd.Inventors: Vladimir Khachin, Stepan Khachin, Valery Diamant

Patent number: 5527590Abstract: Disclosed is a structural material having a wire lattice configuration. The structural material can manufactured by first weaving a continuous wire filament on a loom assembly. Once woven into arrays of parallel wires, the filament is fixed in position and cut into segments. The segments are then placed in a rig. The rig positions the segments at relative angles so as to form a matrix or mesh. In the final step of the manufacturing process, the wires are welded together using, for example, a forge press. Alternatively, the material can be formed by first holding wire segments in a pair of rigs and then sequentially welding the wire segments together. The structural material of the invention can be used alone or layered to form a multilaminate material.Type: GrantFiled: September 26, 1994Date of Patent: June 18, 1996Inventor: Jonathan Priluck

Patent number: 4750253Abstract: The method produces a flat spiral link assembly from at least four synthetic resin monofilament helices wound winding to winding which are simultaneously supplied for meshing engagement. Before being meshed the helices are stretched to at least three times their length and are thermoset in stretched condition. The alternatingly right-hand and left-hand helices are caused to mesh in zipper fashion and are interlocked by pintle wires. In order to facilitate the insertion of the pintle wires the helices are extended by about five percent. The apparatus for performing the method comprises two feed rolls forming a first roll nip through which helices are passed to a heating chamber. Draw-off rolls withdraw the helices from the heating chamber at least at three times the peripheral speed of the feed rolls. The apparatus also comprises a shunt for joining the helices and a device for inserting the pintle wires.Type: GrantFiled: December 22, 1986Date of Patent: June 14, 1988Assignee: Hermann Wangner GmbH & Co., KGInventors: Fritz Bleher, Klaus Esser, Hans-Eugen Hacker, Rudi Hess-Bauer, Eugen Kehrer, Hartmut Waldvogel
