With Cam Or Abutment Operated Valve Or Head Patents (Class 141/147)
  • Patent number: 4326567
Abstract: A filling machine for dispensing sometimes viscous liquid in measured amounts to containers wherein a carrier supports a plurality of individual containers with open upper ends for lateral orbiting movement with a central tank, a pump and valve assembly orbits with the carrier and has a plurality of rotary valves, communicating with outward passages from the tank and with piston pumps, and also communicating the piston pumps with dispensing openings arranged above the containers. The pistons of the pumps are controlled by a pivotal cam track which can be swung to various positions to change the extent of the suction stroke of each piston, when operated by an actuating member. The machine is particularly designed for disassembly and for cleaning.

  • Patent number: 4319613
Abstract: The filling valve arrangement for carbonated beverages includes a head part and a lower part movable in two opposite vertical directions with respect to the head by means of a cylinder piston unit, the lower part enclosing a liquid controlling valve chamber with a valve member, the bottom of the lower part being provided with a liquid discharge passage supporting a sealing ring compressable by the cylinder piston unit against the rim of a container to be filled, and liquid inlet conduit arranged in lateral wall of the lower part to communicate with the liquid controlling valve chamber. An air return pipe is slidably supported by the filling valve the vertical position of which is controlled by a separate driving mechanism.

  • Patent number: 4253505
Abstract: A valve assembly for a container filling machine. The filling machine includes a rotating turret or carrier having a series of platforms that support individual containers, such as cans, to be filled. Mounted above each platform is a valve assembly which controls the fluid flow to the can. Each valve assembly includes a valve body and a rotatable disc, and the body and the disc have mating surfaces, each containing ports that can be moved into registry as the disc is rotated with respect to the body to effect fluid flow. To rotate the disc during the cycle of operation, a single arm is attached to the disc and carries a follower which is adapted to engage a series of fixed cam tracks as the carrier rotates to move the arm and rotate the disc to obtain the desired registry of the ports.
