  • Patent number: 6053220
Abstract: An apparatus is provided for automatically and evenly dispensing adequate amount of seeds into bedding compartments of a latticed and bottom-netted seed holder according to a ratio of volume expansion of seeds in the bedding compartment. The apparatus mainly includes a conveyor for forward moving latticed seed holders disposed thereon, a volume-based seed holder straddling the conveyor and having multiple fixed-volume through holes for accommodating seeds to be dispensed into the latticed seed holders, a seed feeding tank mounted on a rail rack over the volume-based seed holder for temporarily storing and dispensing seeds, and sweeping off extra seeds from the volume-based seed holder, and a seed storage for storing seeds to be supplied to the seed feeding tank. With the fixed-volume through holes on the volume-based seed holder, the amount of seeds in each bedding compartment of the latticed seed holder can be well controlled to avoid undesirable compression of seeds after they are soaked and expanded.

  • Patent number: 5651401
Abstract: An apparatus for filling multiple receptacles with foodstuffs utilizing a tray having at least first and second apertures through the same. The first and second apertures each possess an entrance and an exit and a chamber within the tray body of a pre-determined volume. Each aperture is spaced from one another on the tray. A feed conduit is also utilized to transport foodstuffs from any one of multiple containers to the tray. The tray is reciprocated to permit alternate communication between the feed conduit and the entrances to the first and second apertures. A cover closes the exits of any one of the apertures at the same time the aperture chamber is being filled with a foodstuff. In addition, reciprocation of the tray removes the cover and permits the foodstuff to pass to a conduit which leads the foodstuff to a container.

  • Patent number: 4515190
Abstract: Pusher arrangement simultaneously push the open end of an empty container against the inclined side of a downwardly opening delivery cone and simultaneously push a preceeding filled container from below the cone. A spring supported platform below the cone supports the container being filled and lowers it as it is filled. A continuously operating source of material delivers continually to the cone. A first control actuated by the filled container reverses the pusher arrangement. The spring device supporting the container being filled are adjusted to trip the control before the container is fully filled. A second control actuated at the fully advanced position of the pusher arrangement again reverses the pushed arrangement. A first spring connected to the platform has its opposite end connected to a selectively adjustable fixed anchor.
