Nozzle, Guide Or Conveyer Adjustable To Receiver Size Patents (Class 141/177)
  • Patent number: 4338982
Abstract: A rotating riffler for the purpose of withdrawing smaller laboratory-sized representative particulate samples from larger samples. This comprises a rotating disk having an interchangeable top plate of plastic foam having openings therein to accommodate sample containers. Where different size sample containers are employed, the plastic foam plate is changed to accommodate them. The rotating disk is mounted on a base containing a variable speed drive and is supported at the periphery by bearings rather than by the shaft. A slurry or dry volume of particles of which a smaller representative sample is required, is fed into a funnel-like device, then drops in a controlled flow into the sampling containers rotating below the funnel. "V"-shaped bridging devices having curved legs are attached between each pair of containers to prevent spilling.

  • Patent number: 4306595
Abstract: A device for loading a dosage layer of material, preferably concrete, at a laying-down position for manufacturing tiles and the like comprising, a conveyor for supplying a continuous layer of the material, a bell having a diaphragm and edges surrounding the diaphragm defining a dosage space for receiving a dosage layer of the material and a driving unit for driving the bell to move it into engagement with the continuous layer on the conveyor to receive a dosage layer of material in the dosage space. A suction pump is connected to the interior of the bell for establishing an underpressure therein so that the dosage layer of material is held by suction in the dosage space. A plurality of the bells may be provided on a single turret so that one dosage layer of material is being drawn up while another dosage layer of material is being laid down at another location.

  • Patent number: 4159056
Abstract: A carton conveyor means for receiving cartons directly from a carton erecting and forming machine, and conveying the cartons along a linear path through a series of work stations for filling and sealing the cartons. The conveyor includes a pair of roller chains. Each of the roller chains has attached thereto a plurality of spaced apart metal lug carrier clips which are detachably mounted on the chain. A non-metallic conveyor lug is assembled to each of the lug carrier clips in a snap-in-fashion. The conveyor lugs function to transport the cartons along a pair of carton support rails. The conveyor lugs also function as guide means and bearing means for supporting the conveyor chains.

  • Patent number: 4145990
Abstract: Method and apparatus for the application of grated cheese to pizza shells is provided including mechanism for the automated feeding of cheese to a grating apparatus, intermittent grating of cheese in a predetermined quantity and deposit thereof onto a transfer conveyor, and the intermittent operation of the transfer conveyor for subsequently transferring the cheese particles onto a pizza shell carried by a continuously moving conveyor. The apparatus provides for the automated application of grated cheese to pizza shells in a continuously moving, assembly-line production system in which the pizza shells are transported on an elongated continuously moving conveyor belt. The grating apparatus for the cheese is vertically disposed in superimposed relationship to the pizza shell conveyor and is located immediately above an intermediate transfer conveyor.

  • Patent number: 4122876
Abstract: An apparatus for filling like containers with a like measured amount of divided matter is herein disclosed. The apparatus includes a base, to which a jack is connected. A drive and a feed system are also mounted on the base. A removable rotary dispenser is drivingly connected to the drive. A material reservoir is connected to a portion of the jack. The material reservoir is mounted above and in frictional contact with the removable rotary dispenser. A container elevator is connected to the base. The feed system supplies a plurality of like containers for filling the rotary removable dispenser. The container elevator lifts the like containers into contact with a portion of the removable rotary dispenser for filling. The jack is adapted to move the material reservoir away from the removable rotary dispenser so that the removable rotary dispenser may be quickly and easily changed to allow efficient use of the apparatus with different size containers.

  • Patent number: 4061164
Abstract: A composite measure of varying capacity, composed of supplying-aperture of straight cylinder and an inside measure telescopically inserted into the aperture and having a hollow of frusto-conical section, is employed in order to improve accommodation of the known conventional capacity type rotary powder filling machine, to powder of varying bulk density.A turntable which receives the supplying-aperture, superimposes over another turntable which holds the inside measure, and the distance between the both, is adjustable during the operation in accordance with the variance in the bulk density. The height of the container transferring path is also adjustable simultaneously with that of the second turntable.Spouting of compressed-air through an annular nozzle the diameter of which approximates to that of the aperture as a flow parallel to their inside wall is effected to blow off remaining powder in the measure and clean the same when the nozzle is disposed on the aperture.
