Abstract: Methods for checking a connection between a compressed air outlet of a blood treatment apparatus and a pressure measuring line of an extracorporeal blood tubing set. The methods include providing a blood treatment apparatus having a compressed air line. A compressed air device is in fluid communication with the compressed air line for generating pressure within the compressed air line. A compressed air outlet is in fluid communication with both the compressed air line and an exterior of the blood treatment apparatus. The compressed air outlet is connectable with a pressure measuring line and a pressure sensor. The method also includes building up a pressure and an air flow in the compressed air line and/or at the compressed air outlet, measuring a pressure at the compressed air outlet or in the compressed air line, and evaluating an increase of the measured pressure.

The press button has at least one alignment rib portion insertable into one of the dosage guide grooves. The press button is driven by the adjusting cap to rotate between a locked position, where the alignment rib portion abuts against a top end of the locking connector and is thereby limited from being pressed downward, and a pressable position, where the alignment rib portion is aligned with one of the dosage guide grooves to enable pressing movement of the press button.

Abstract: The device of the present invention is a measuring instrument. It is designed to enable the user to draw, and measure precise amounts of liquids such as flavoring extracts, oil, vinegar, syrup, molasses and the like. Its components include a lower base member and a top member joined together by a sealed connection. A dropper or equivalent structure is located in the center of the device and is used to remove the measured quantity of liquid foodstuff from the lower base member of the instant device or from a commercial bottle or container to transfer it into the top member that functions as a measuring cup. The liquid is then dispensed from the top member and mixed with other ingredients as may be required by a recipe.

Abstract: An improved, leak resistant, siphoning device that includes an elongated hollow body member, a means for filling and emptying the hollow body member, such as an elastomeric resilient suction bulb and a valve placed between the hollow member and the filling/emptying means. The suction bulb defines a chamber therein, so that when it is squeezed and released it will create suction to direct fluid up through the first open head end into the elongated hollow body member using pressure differential. Squeezing the suction bulb can release the liquid and partial solids held within the elongated hollow body member out of the first open head end. The suction bulb also has an optional opening for venting heated air from the bulb, and a means to selectively close the opening for creating vacuum or pressure required to draw or expel liquid from the tube.
