Receding Receiver Support Or Engaging Means Patents (Class 141/257)
  • Patent number: 9156574
Abstract: An apparatus for filling an upright container having a base and an open top with a number of similar articles from an elevated source includes an inlet and an auger assembly. The inlet is adapted to be proximate the elevated source of the similar articles such that the articles enter the apparatus therethrough. The auger includes a substantially helical ramp disposed about a shaft. The auger is rotatable about a longitudinal axis of the shaft and is translatable along the longitudinal axis. An end of the auger is disposed proximate the container and includes a discharge through which the articles are discharged into the container.

  • Patent number: 7753086
Abstract: This invention relates to a method for filling particulate material in vertical tubes (1) where the velocity of fall of the material (4) is reduced by having it glide down a rotating spiral duct (2) or by gliding down a rotating inner tube (5) with openings above the bottom (6) through which the material can fall out. The inner tube (5) is filled with the particulate material (4). After the material has fallen out of the spiral duct (2) or the inner tube (5), it can fall towards the tube's (1) wall during the drop onto the top layer of filled material.

  • Patent number: 4501306
Abstract: An automatic syringe filling system includes a pump for supplying liquid under pressure to a manifold that distributes the liquid to each of a plurality of syringes. Microswitches disposed at predetermined positions detect when the plunger of each syringe connected to the manifold has been extended a particular distance determined by the desired fill volume. When all of the plungers are extended this distance, the supply of liquid to the manifold is discontinued by closing a valve and deactuating the pump.

  • Patent number: 4337805
Abstract: In an agricultural bag loading apparatus (10), a primary shaft (52) has a plurality of teeth (46). Rotation of the primary shaft (52) causes the teeth (46) to force silage into an agricultural bag (12). Silage is fed toward the shaft (52) by the rotation of a feeder shaft (60) having a plurality of angle irons (62) mounted thereon. The brake force of a brake (110) is applied through a drum (20), a cable (18), and a backstop (16) to the end of the agricultural bag (12) to control the degree of silage compression within the bag.

  • Patent number: 4310036
Abstract: In an agricultural bag loading apparatus (10) having an output chamber tunnel (32), the improvement comprising a tunnel cleanout mechanism. The tunnel cleanout plate (82) is pivotally mounted on the output chamber tunnel (32) and is pivoted from a retracted position to an extended position by means of dual hydraulic cylinders (88). Compressed silage and material entrapped within the tunnel (32) is extracted by pivotal movement of the tunnel cleanout plate (82) from the retracted position, where the plate (82) does not interfere with the loading operation, to the extended position.

  • Patent number: 4054018
Abstract: The present device comprises a bag filling apparatus which will clamp and hold a bag onto an output spout which forces in material such as pulverized or loose fill cellulose fiber used in insulation, and provides means for holding the bag in place, and providing a compressive force against the material as it is placed into the bag so that the material is forced into the bag and has substantial density when the bag is filled. The device includes means for automatically releasing the bag holder when the bag is filled a preselected amount.
