Abstract: A beverage infusion apparatus includes: beverage infusion apparatus comprising: (a) an infusion module for infusing a nitrogen containing gas into a beverage to form a gas infused beverage, wherein: (i) the infusion module comprises a gas draw venturi device for drawing the nitrogen containing gas into the beverage as a result of flow of the beverage through the gas draw venturi device to form the gas infused beverage; (b) a dispensing valve for dispensing the gas infused beverage and constructed to move between an open position and a closed position, wherein: (i) the open position permits dispensing of the gas infused beverage from the beverage infusion apparatus; (ii) the closed position prevents dispensing of the gas infused beverage from the beverage infusion apparatus; and (iii) the dispensing valve is constructed to move between the open position and the closed position by a user of the beverage infusion apparatus; and (c) a pump constructed to move the beverage, under pressure, from a beverage reservoi
Abstract: A device for containing and supplying loose materials, includes: a support frame (5); a rigid container (2) mounted on the support frame (5) and exhibiting at least one opening (3); elements (4) for opening or closing the at least one opening (3). The rigid container (2) is rotatably constrained to the support frame (5) and is rotated on the support frame (5) with rotating elements (11). The container (2) is mobile between at least a first position, in which the at least one opening (3) is located in an upper position for loading loose material into the container (2), and at least a second position, in which the at least one opening is located in a lower position for unloading the loose material from the container (2).
Abstract: A diluting station and a pipetting station for a machine such as a biological sample testing machine. The diluting station has a rotating shot tube that fills with diluent without the need for priming when the shot tube is in a vertically inclined orientation, and which dispenses the diluent into a receptacle when the shot tube is rotated to a downward orientation. A thimble valve is placed in the shot tube to control the flow of diluent into the valve. The pipetting station includes a cylindrical housing storing a plurality of straws and a concentric rotating drum that sweeps a straw into a straw withdrawal slot. A tubular tapered transfer pin is inserted into the straw frictional into engagement with the straw. The tubular transfer pin rotates the straw out of the slot into a generally downward orientation towards a receptacle containing a fluid. The pin and straw are lowered so as to place the end of the straw into the fluid.

Abstract: An apparatus for aiding in the preparation of an injectable serum is provided which comprises a two-part assembly including a stabilizing base and a framed support. The apparatus includes a support arm for receiving one or more conventional medicine vials which is rotatable about a horizontal axis. The apparatus further includes a support arm for receiving one or more conventional syringes which is disposed horizontally and in substantially parallel relationship with respect to the vial receiving support arm. This arrangement facilitates accurate alignment of syringes and vials which are being utilized in the preparation of the injection serum.
Abstract: A container washing and filling machine for washing and filling blow moulded containers 1 having an open-ended neck 2 includes only a single head 5 through which both washing and filling liquid is introduced into the container 1 through its open-ended neck 2. The container 1 is held in fluid-tight sealing engagement with the single head 5 by a clamping device 32 and the clamping device and single head 5 are movable together with a container 1 being treated between a washing position in which the container 1 is inverted and a filling position in which the container 1 is erect. Preferably the machine also inlcudes a closure unit 21 to apply a closure to the open-ended neck 2 of a filled container 1.
