Patent number: 7665639Abstract: A high-speed bulk filling tank truck is provided, which permits reduction of the filling time. The high-speed bulk filling tank truck delivers a liquefied gas in a truck tank to a bulk storage tank, and recovers a gas-phase gas in the bulk storage tank into the truck tank, thereby filling the bulk storage tank with the liquefied gas. The high-speed bulk filling tank truck includes a liquid feed pump, provided on a liquid line through which the liquefied gas flows, for feeding the liquefied gas in the truck tank to the bulk storage tank, and a gas compressor, provided on the gas line through which a gas-phase gas flows, for compressing the gas-phase gas in the bulk storage tank and delivering the same into the truck tank.Type: GrantFiled: May 3, 2007Date of Patent: February 23, 2010Assignee: Koagas Nihon Co., Ltd.Inventor: Masayasu Kamikozuru

Patent number: 7258145Abstract: A fuel filler neck assembly having a uniform hemmed connection between an outer funnel portion and an inner funnel portion. The outer funnel portion is typically defined by an offset-expanded cylinder and sidewalls of varying thickness. The inner funnel portion includes sidewalls that have an internal thread, which is configured to mate with the threads of a gas cap. A hemmed connection is used to join one end of the outer funnel portion to one end of the inner funnel portion. The sidewalls at one end of the outer funnel portion are folded or bent inwardly and around the rim portion to define a curled portion. A tooling assembly for producing a uniform hemmed connection between one end of the outer funnel portion and one end of the inner funnel portion. A method of producing a uniform hemmed connection between portions of a fuel filler neck.Type: GrantFiled: May 28, 2004Date of Patent: August 21, 2007Assignee: Dayco Products, LLCInventors: Douglas D. Patent number: 6810928Abstract: A tube filling machine comprises a circulating conveying device for transporting a tube through the tube filling machine to pass through different processing stations. One of the processing stations is a filling unit in which the tube can be filled with a desired product. To remove and install the filling unit in a simple and rapid fashion, it is disposed on an adjustable support structure which can be actuated between an operating position in which the filling unit is disposed in the tube filling machine above the tube to be filled and a non-operating position in which the filling unit sidewardly projects out past the tube filling machine.Type: GrantFiled: January 28, 2003Date of Patent: November 2, 2004Assignee: IWK Verpackungstechnik GmbHInventor: Rolf Limbach

Patent number: 6415827Abstract: A closure assembly includes a filler neck, a housing, and an appearance cover. The housing includes a nozzle-receiving passageway and an interior region. A closure door is coupled to housing and prevents fuel vapor from flowing through passageway. A pressure-relief valve assembly is positioned within interior region and controls the flow of fuel vapor through interior region when the closure door is closed. A valve actuator is coupled to housing and includes a nozzle arm, a stem arm, and a conductor arm. Stem arm moves with nozzle arm and opens pressure-relief valve assembly when nozzle arm is engaged by a fuel-dispensing nozzle upon movement of a nozzle into passageway. A conductor arm is coupled to nozzle arm and is positioned to contact filler neck through an opening in housing. When a nozzle contacts the nozzle arm, any electrical charge present on the fuel-dispensing nozzle is conducted through nozzle arm and conductor arm to the filler neck.Type: GrantFiled: January 5, 2001Date of Patent: July 9, 2002Assignee: Stant Manufacturing Inc.Inventors: Robert S. Patent number: 6029719Abstract: 1. A fuel tank (1) having a filler neck (3) closable by a filling flap (2), the volatile fuel components (5) located in free space (4) of the fuel tank (1) being able to be fed into a storage chamber (7) filled with an absorption element (6), including a vent line (8) that connects the free space (4) to the storage chamber (7) and is closable by a valve (9). The filler neck (3), on the side facing away from the fuel tank (1), has a plug fitting (10) with a valve support (11). The valve (9) includes a sealing flap (12), the sealing flap (12) and the filling flap (2) forming components of the valve support (11), each being able to pivot about a shaft (13,14), and, being acted upon by spring tension, each being able to be placed against a valve seat (15,16) in the valve support (11).Type: GrantFiled: April 13, 1998Date of Patent: February 29, 2000Assignees: Firma Carl Freudenberg, Kautex Textron GmbH & Co. Patent number: 5960839Abstract: A fuel tank sealing system for a fuel tank filler tube is disclosed in which the fuel system is sealed when the fuel cap is not installed, or improperly installed and allows pressure equalization during the insertion of a refueling nozzle. A vent valve is first actuated by partial insertion of the nozzle and allows pressure equalizing flow to bypass the refueling nozzle. A flap valve is then actuated by complete insertion of the refueling nozzle to allow fuel to enter the fuel tank.Type: GrantFiled: August 5, 1998Date of Patent: October 5, 1999Assignee: Ford Global Technologies, Inc.Inventors: Carlos Armesto, James Allan Fairbairn

Patent number: 4176694Abstract: A dispensing valve for controlling the flow of a liquid from a container into a receptacle is described. Such valve is designed to terminate liquid flow automatically when the liquid level within the receptacle reaches a predetermined height. It includes a cap to be secured hermetically on the mouth of a liquid container and a stud to project axially from the cap into the interior of such container. At least two passages extend through the stud, one of such passages being a liquid passage for the flow of liquid from the container and the other being an air passage for the flow of air in the container to replace the liquid. A conduit projects outwardly from the cap to have its free end immersed by liquid within the receptacle being filled when the liquid therein reaches the desired height. Such conduit has an air inlet in its free end which communicates with the air passage extending through the stud.Type: GrantFiled: March 27, 1978Date of Patent: December 4, 1979Assignee: Donald R.
