  • Patent number: 7017629
Abstract: The invention relates to a windshield wiper fluid reservoir (1) comprising a closure device (4) and a filling tube (2) for use in a windshield wiper system for motor vehicles. The aim of the invention is to improve the design of a prior art windshield wiper fluid reservoir (1) comprising a closure device (4) and a filling tube (2) whereby improving the ability to fill the reservoir, in particular, enabling a pressure filling involving the use of a pump nozzle. This is achieved by provision of a filling tube (2), which comprises an integrated ventilation channel (3) in a one-piece design and is situated on the windshield wiper fluid reservoir (1). ventilation channel (3) is shaped by reshaping the upper area of the filling tube. This ensues by pressing in the lateral surfaces (6) in the upper third of the filling tube (2) in a longitudinal direction.

  • Patent number: 6192945
Abstract: A method and apparatus for an automated biological reaction system is provided. In the processing of a biological reaction system, there is a need for consistently placing an amount of fluid on a slide. In order to accomplish this, several methods are used including a consistency pulse and a volume adjust means. Moreover, in order to reliably operate an automated biological reaction system, the dispenser must be reliable, easy to assemble and accurate. Among other things, in order to accomplish this, the dispense chamber is substantially in line with the reservoir chamber, the reservoir chamber piston is removed, and the flow of fluid through the dispenser is simplified. Further, in order to operate the automated biological reaction system more reliably, the system is designed in modular pieces with higher functions performed by a host device and the execution of the staining operations performed by remote devices.

  • Patent number: 5146957
Abstract: A tapered liquid container which is nestable with other like empty containers and a collector for receiving empty containers in nested relationship. The container has a tapered side wall, a large bottom end, and a small top dispensing end. A closable large bottom opening and a closable small top opening is formed in the bottom and top ends, respectively. A bottom closure seals the bottom opening and is removable when dispensing the liquid. A top closure is provided for sealing the top opening and is removable to permit liquid to be emptied. The collector includes an upper portion having a tapered socket for receiving an inverted empty container body with the top and bottom closures removed to permit draining of residual liquid. • Patent number: 4628969
Abstract: There is disclosed a process for producing sterilized prefilled plastic syringes avoiding plastic deformation and distortion. The plastic barrels are subjected to repeated water jet washing steps to remove contaminants and depyrogenate the barrels. Tip seals and pistons are subjected to washing, autoclaving and rinsing steps to remove contaminants and depyrogenate. After the tip is assembled on the nozzle of the barrel, the barrel is filled with contrast media through its open end, after which the piston is assembled in the open end to seal the syringe and its contents. The assembled and sealed syringe is then subjected to autoclaving to sterilize the syringe and its contents, without deformation of the plastic syringe or a loss of integrity to the closed media/syringe system.
