The donating container docking port may be closed with a removable cap and the cylindrical connector used as a donating container screw cap.

  • Patent number: 8429925
Abstract: A device 1 for cooling hot liquid food items to drinking temperature comprising a cooling system 2 containing a coolant 19 with a cooling line 13 and an inflow for the hot liquid and an outflow for the cooled liquid. The device includes at least one filling vessel 3 connectable with its opening 5 to the end side of the cooling system containing the inflow to the cooling system. For connecting the filling vessel to the cooling system, each of the two parts includes complementarily cooperating connection elements 9, such that for the process of cooling a virtual unit can be formed, and as a function of the defined quantity of liquid flowing from the filling vessel into the inflow of the cooling system, and the temperature and of the quantity of the coolant, the liquid flows from the outflow of the cooling system at a temperature specified within narrow limits.

  • Patent number: 8327892
Abstract: A vaporizer filling system includes a filler assembly, a sump, and a valve. The valve controls fluid communication into the sump. A retaining device retains the valve in an open position. A delay is connected to the retaining device. The delay controls the operation of the retaining device in order to retain the valve in the open position until the delay detects a release condition. The delay then controls the retaining device to release the valve. A method of filling a vaporizer includes engaging a bottle of liquid anesthetic agent with a filler assembly. The bottle and the filler assembly are moved from a first position to a second position. The bottle and filling assembly are locked in the second position with a retaining device. Then the retaining device is released and the bottle and filler assembly are returned to the first position.

Abstract: A system and method for supplying bottled water to an appliance is provided, where the water bottle is opened as it is positioned on the appliance. The appliance includes an operational portion and a bottle receiving portion. The operational portion can be any appliance which utilizes water in its operations, such as humidifiers, vaporizers, coffeemakers, tea makers, dental water jets, and the like. The bottle receiving portion includes a conduit defining a fluid path, where the conduit is in fluid communication with the operational portion. The conduit has a first end with a piercing member for piercing the bottle, and a second end in fluid communication with the operational portion. When a water bottle is positioned in the bottle receiving portion, the piercing member pierces the bottle, allowing the water to exit the bottle along the fluid path to the operational portion of the appliance.

  • Patent number: 8151836
Abstract: A closure for the neck of a container such as a water bottle includes a cap 32 for engagement with the neck, and a valve plug 44. The cap has an inner guide sleeve 38 which sealingly receives the valve plug 44, which is provided with latches 50. When the bottle is placed on a liquid dispensing station such as a water cooler a probe 5 sealably enters the sleeve 38 and an actuator head 70 engages the latches 50 to carry the plug out of the sleeve 38. The probe requires minimum insertion force. One or more water flow ports 72 are provided in the probe 5 to conduct water out of the bottle, while air may enter the bottle via a vent port 73 and vent apertures in the valve plug 44. This allows simultaneous exchange of air and water without risk of air entrainment whilst providing a short penetration distance.
